Had my birthday meal with 11 family members.. the pub was lovely and cosy, the staff warm and welcoming and all of our food was delicious! Plenty of options on the menu and very reasonably priced. We were all happy and said how we will definitely be visiting again.

Excellent lunchtime meal yesterday. My husband had the stuffed trout and I had the mushroom and spinach wellington. Both very tasty and very well presented. Friendly service and a fair price. What more can you ask for 👍Will definitely be back 😁

Lovely little pub nestled away in the Kent countryside. Spoiler alert - the steak and kidney pie is the BEST I HAVE EVER EATEN! Except mum's, of course. It was packed with delicious meat, just the right amount of juice, and the pastry was to die for! It came with a selection of veggies, also delicious, and I washed it down with a lovely pint. Very friendly staff, and extremely reasonably priced! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

My first trip to this pub for lunch and I wasn’t disappointed at all. A nice warm welcome from the start and shown to our table with menus which had a great choice of food including specials. The food was superb from the starter through to the Gypsy Tart dessert and the coffee was delicious too. There were Christmas tunes playing in the background and we all had a very enjoyable meal. I would return there tomorrow if I could fit any more food in my tummy. 10 out of 10 for a lovely local pub. Well done to our waitress too, it was her first day working there and she did herself proud.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Food is absolutely amazing. Definitely worth a visit. Very reasonable. We visited as a family of 4 and had the steak, steak & kidney pudding, lamb shank & 12oz burger. All fabulous. Looking forward to coming back.

We have been there regularly in the last year. It has good, traditional English food, decent real ales, friendly and helpful staff. Good carvery on Sundays. Prices reasonable for the quality. You will usually have to reserve a table, especially on Sundays. The best pub in the area for food.

I've probably tried almost every pub in the Tunbridge Wells area 😂 But I hadn't been here for years until the other day. This has gotta be one of the best in the area! Nice and spacious inside, great service, good drinks selection, excellent menu, and the food is delicious (would highly recommend the all day breakfast!). Will be back!

After reading a previous review whilst in The Vine down the road, we were lured in by a previous reviewer claiming the best Steak and Kidney pie ever and very generous portions. Well, both these reviews were true, amazing pie enormous portion drowning in an epic gravy.

Glad we chose to eat at this lovely independent village pub

A wonderful warm welcoming family atmosphere awaits.. mouth watering food, with great personal service from chef Andy, especially on a Sunday, serving his famous Sunday roast.
The Brown Trout.. a welcoming haven of comfort and a traveller's true rest!

What a charming bar and with such delicious food and excellent portions. We had our dogs with us so sat outside near the kids play area. Wonderful outside seating area if inside is not for you.

Very friendly, we were made very welcome in the large garden. Water was brought for our dog immediately which was great on such a hot day. Food was delicious & good portion sizes. The children’s meals were relatively expensive but great quality.
