Thrapston Farm & Garden

A shop that stocks a lot of products! However, my main requirement was Calor Gas bottles. They stock most gas bottle sizes (mine is 7kg) and their prices are reasonable; much better than most petrol station forecourts- £10 cheaper.

Absolutely love this place. Started going in for gardening supplies, compost etc, they have a carry to car service if you ask, have also bought paint, dogs treats, seeds, plumbing bits, tools, fabric dye!.
Not unreasonably priced. Rarely have a problem parking.
Such lovely staff, always helpful and friendly.
A real bonus for locals.

Friendly staff, loads more products than I expected from plumbing and electrics and tools, interior and exterior paint to gardening bits and pet supplies and loads more. Was pretty impressed with the range of bits and prices are good. Love the little bit in the middle aisle with discounted items and "make me an offer" stuff

Amazing product supply. If you don't live within 7 mile local delivery radius or live further afield but you can't collect they will arrange courier at cost. First class customer service!

Handy hardware store store, especially being in a relatively rural location. It offers a wise range of products and it does save the drive into nearby towns to those items which are urgently needed. Always helpful and friendly staff. The only negative being you do pay a premium for convenience.
I'm glad such a shop is still in Thrapston and its saved me a longer drive on many occasions...

Always helpful when I've been in there for odd things I've needed for little DIY jobs around the home. So nice to have this on our doorstep and prices are good compared to big DIY stores. X

Very well stocked shop and some incredible prices, far larger than it appears from outside. Staff members incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Fantastic too that in the age of independent retailers going bust on the high street they appear to be going strong.

First time I have ventured into this shop and it was like a welcome blast from the past.

This is a fantastic place to visit. From padlocks to electric fencing. Nails. Screws Buckets. Spades. Wheelbarrows. Just a great place to browse around. Often have things in store that are quirky and different. Reasonably priced. Staff very knowledgeable and helpful.

Very helpful staff. Always good for the basics and often the odd bits and pieces not stocked by the big chains. Frequently cheaper or at least competitive with Wickes which I did not expect.

With a last minute lock to fit for an elderly relation and only 2 keys, the staff went out of their way to help wit a not-so-standard key to cut. Their help and persistance was very much appreciated. Thank you!

Very impressed with the welcoming chatty team, bigger shop than frontage suggests, and competitively priced calor gas. Embarrassed to say I had never visited before today, but will be back.

I just love this shop, it reminds me of my early days when all shops resembled this format and high levels of customer service.

Even when not buying everything in sight, it's still worth a browse.

Staff are so helpful and accommodating. Always buy my gas cylinders here - its a long drive, but worth it for the service.
