Fitzwilliam Arms: Excellent Sunday Roast (Dog-Friendly Too!)
We recently had a fantastic Sunday lunch at the Fitzwilliam Arms and it was easily the best roast dinner we've had in the area. The highlight was definitely the generous portion of roast Beef, but everything else was delicious too.

An added bonus is that they're dog-friendly, so our furry friend could join us!

There is a small caveat - the side dishes were a bit pricey for the size. For example, the cauliflower cheese only came with two florets. However, the main course was so good that it more than made up for it.

Overall, the Fitzwilliam Arms gets top marks from me. The food was excellent, the service was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was relaxed. We would highly recommend checking it out, especially if you're looking for a delicious Sunday roast and a place to bring your dog.

Gorgeous country pub, lovely decor and great food. Sharing platter and skewers were delicious. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere.

Wonderful service from a very friendly and helpful Graham. Food was absolutely divine and priced well. Atmosphere was beautiful. Overall a wonderful lunch experience. Would definitely return. Pavlova was magnificent!

We were a family party of 5 having Sunday lunch. We were served by a really lovely waitress called Lynda. She was smiley and attentive. Just what makes eating out a pleasure. All of our meals were really good so compliments to the chef.
Other members of staff were also noticeably attentive, for example my napkin fell off my lap and within seconds a waiter noted it and was there to pick it up - all these things add to the experience and I would most certainly recommend this pub

Lillie was a fantastic waitress, very attentive and polite. Vanessa was brilliant and swift to serve our drinks. Joe the chef did a great job with the food, everything was extremely tasty, thank you everyone for a lovely experience.

Amazing experience. Brilliant food. The venue is gorgeous with excellent decor. Very up class. Gorgeous area.. really impressed. Fab prices too. Portions were really generous especially for the money. Staff can't do.more for you. Fabulous. Keep it up !

Lynda served us today and she was absolutely brilliant. Friendly, kind, approachable and great with our two girls. Offering them colouring and asked them themselves what they would like to order rather then go through us which I thought was a lovely thing to do. They felt relevant. Amazing food also!! Delicious and embers well presented.

We were looked after by a lovely lady called Lynda, she was so professional and polite and wholly positive which was a lovely experience.
I ordered the avocado salad and I was so impressed with the food, expecting salad to be a bunch of disappointing leaves it was far from it. The dish had two slices of pesto dressed chibatta, a soft boiled egg, chicken, bacon and avocado. I left full and happy and would order the same again. I hope to visit again soon 😋❤

This is one of our favourite places to eat in. There is not one bad thing I could say about it. Before refurbishment it was brilliant and now after it’s even better. The service their is always on point, food and drinks is amazing!! Special shout out to Linda who is the most wonderful, worm and friendly person we have ever been served by in any other establishments. Lynda is like a mum of Fitzwilliam Arms 😁Can’t wait to come back again and again! Thank you to all for amazing food, especially chef/chefs who makes it ( should consider BBQ summer nights for them briskets ☺)and all the staff of TFA!!!

Went here for breakfast and it was absolutely amazing. Everything was cooked from fresh and the waitress Lynda was very professional and attentive. One of the best pubs in Peterborough for sure. We definitely go back. Keep up the good work. 👍

We really enjoyed our lunch this bank holiday Monday! We hadn’t been before so can’t comment on the refurb but it was beautifully decorated, a lovely country pub. Food was delicious and high quality plus all staff were very attentive, especially Lynda who served us. We will definitely be returning with the whole family!

Popped in for a meal last night and we both had our favourite skewers, delicious as usual. It was lovely to see Paul back at the pub, he looked after us very well on a busy evening. I can’t fault anything about the food or service. Highly recommended!

This place was such a great little find, my dad and I had a lovely Sunday dinner, a girl called Leah served us and was absolutely perfect. Very attentive and helpful, knew the answer to every question. Felt very homely and looked after. Will definitely be visiting again.
