The Red Well

I went there with my family for my dad's birthday. The place was rather quiet as it was on a school night. The food was okay, I don't recommend the American cheeseburger though, and the halloumi fries were the best. It was cheap, only like 20-30£ a person. And of course as it was a pub, the service was okay, not any better or worse than what you expect. I recommend it if you want to get some alright and cheap food with your mates.

I remember it was a quiet evening when I first visited; the calm before the storm of the weekend rush, perhaps. But it worked in my favor, as I was greeted by the staff almost instantly. Being a Wetherspoon, I expected nothing less than a vast selection of drinks. And indeed, they did not disappoint. Ales, beers, spirits, wines—you name it, they had it. A diverse range that can cater to the connoisseurs and the casual drinkers alike.
And let's not forget the restaurant area. Cleanliness and tidiness are obviously a priority here, which is always reassuring when you're about to indulge in a meal. You can tell that the staff doesn't just work here; they take pride in maintaining the space, ensuring that every patron feels comfortable and taken care of.
Speaking of the staff, they were nothing short of friendly and efficient. Each member who attended to me was quick to offer recommendations, and their service was delivered with a genuine smile. In sum, The Red Well is more than just a bar; it's a little haven in Wellingborough. Whether you're there for a quiet drink on an off-peak evening or joining the weekend crowd, you're in for a treat. Indeed, it's the kind of place you'd recommend to friends, or bring your family to on a Sunday afternoon. A true gem in the Wetherspoon crown, if you ask me.

Vegan breakfast is absolutely awesome. I've been ordering extra mushrooms, tomatoes, and hashbrowns as I don't think the breakfast comes with enough. But it's super tasty.
The bar team were very friendly and helpful.
So if you want a cheap, tasty vegan English breakfast, this is definitely a place that can offer you that.

I called this place from Canada, I'm a chef and had a fish and chips question, figured I'd go straight to the source. Jackie there was super helpful and polite. Haven't tried their food, but the service is great!

Would like to acknowledge the manager Ben and staff on how they've made a massive difference to my recovery from difficult times. Always felt welcome, not treated any differently, and feels like a community with old school rules. Things became unbearable recently due to the death of my mother which resulted in me letting myself down aswell as the pub.
Either way, it's been handled so professionally by all, which then makes myself not play the blame game or woe is me.
Cannot thank you for the time afforded to me during my recovery from my diagnosis.

Honestly went to today for a quick drink we were walking by and thought would pop in we happened to stay for lunch fish and chips and scampi and chips was fantastic the fish was lovely and fresh lovely crispy hot chips and the scampi was fantastic as well can’t wait to go again if you’ve not tried it you definitely should

Gorgeous food here....."in this Spoons"! Atmosphere was lovely on a baking hot mid week lunchtime, aircon on and a gentle buzz of conversation....smothered chicken cooked to perfection, crispy chips and veg....just enough ice in our drinks to not fill the glass...service was quick, friendly and price was ideal.....more ideal....no cooking on a boiling hot evening!! Efficient service, know their business, while dealing with diverse clientele. Vert good staff, very , very good value, yet the meal was not expensive, because the the food and presentation was mutch better than their competitors. Well done. 13th May, steak and12 chips, great value, service good, staff on good form. A good place to eat with good value. Remember it is pub. 25th Aug. Had ham, egg and chips. Quick service, price has risen a little; what do you expect, good value, hot, with good atmosphere. Still highly recommended. Lucky beer drinkers, good value, good variety. Well done the staff.0

We go here a lot because we live locally and our children love the burgers and chicken bites. San miguel is good, prosecco always ice cold so we are happy to. Staff are always friendly and work very hard. Ladies toilets are always clean too, which you don't always find.

Busy Saturday lunch time, staff where polite, food came quickly and was hot/tasty. Toilets & tables clean. Would recommend to eat/drink here. Nice atmosphere over lunch.

Enjoyed breakfast here with some friends.
