We visited here on a recommendation and were so pleased that we did. Stunning gardens in June; wildflowers and naturalistic planting, beautiful trees, trails, and open spaces. The walled garden was very pretty and it wasn't too busy when we went. I should imagine it constantly changes through the seasons but always remains peaceful and beautiful.
There is a nice little cafe offering some welcome shade and refreshments. Good coffee and v nice cake. Highly recommended.

Fabulous Christmas wreath making at Garden House. Wonderful instruction from Maria using beautiful foliage cut from the gardens. Great value for money and delicious afternoon tea in the cafe.

Such a lovely garden, even at this time of year. The snowdrops are spectacular at the moment and the crocus are lovely, too.

Absolutely gorgeous charity gardens, lay out is so unusual, with many plants not featured in other gardens and plants for sale too! What more could you want! Maybe food, had a delicious coronation quiche with salad, so tasty. Well worth a visit.

Beautiful gardens and amazing planting. From the summer garden to Acer Glade and the developing arboretum, we'll worth the entry

Attended an excellent lino cutting workshop in November. The gardens looked so Autumnal with spectacular leaf colours. The cafe coffee and cake were delicious. Even off season it is a beautiful place to visit. So close to the wild beauty of Dartmoor.

What a treasure this is! Many quiet spots to sit and take in the scale and beauty of both the 'wild garden' and the wonderful walled garden. All the facilities you would want including a cafe for refreshments. Will visit again in the different seasons as sure to have interest at each.

Saw all the fairies and dragons as well as the beautiful garden. Had a great time, even in the rain. The staff were absolutely lovely, making a real effort with my 3 year old and letting him help in the garden centre 🙂

We'd been meaning to visit for a while. The weather wasn't ideal, but we went anyway, as it was my birthday. Helpful staff, a lovely café and stunning gardens all made it a good visit. Stunning, in the promise of even better things to see later in the year when thousands more plants would be in flower. My 'birthday cake, was scrummy :)

Lovely garden with plenty to see right at the end of October. We loved the colours of the acers and there were any other late flowering plants around. The Gardeners and volunteers were both friendly and helpful. I would certainly hope to visit the garden again at a different time of year.

Great day with Karen Austin at the Garden House as she was teaching us her special method of how to do Botanical Art, in a full day workshop. Everything was provided, brushes paints paper etc., and we even where given a little pallet of all the paints we needed plus more, to take home. She showed us how the pictures were done and then helped us when we started to produce our own. Thanks for the great day and hope to see you again.

This place is a hidden treasure it's beautiful. We'll worth a visit. Membership is great too. This would make a lovely birthday present 🎁. The tea room also has some delicious treats. You can come and go as often as you like. 😌

Tranquil, calm and peaceful. Worth making the journey. Check opening days as these are restricted in winter. Good shop and catering. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Useful nursery sells many of the unique plants bred and growing here.

This was a lovely day out, the gardens are stunning especially the Walled gardens. My 2 year old had a great time. There are a lot windy paths to explore but there are also plenty of accessible paths for prams and wheelchairs.

One of the most beautiful gardens we have ever been to. No 'route' just wander at will and all plant very well labelled. Many unusual plants and the design is wonderful. Do go.

A magical journey at The Garden House with fairies and dragons hiding round every corner. My 3 granddaughters enjoyed the experience yesterday. Enchanting and so much effort taken to make it a magical place.

Lovely walk followed by a delicious lunch.
The gardens are so peaceful and colourful, we had a nice walk around the grounds, sat for a while on one of the many benches. Wonderful aromas from the plants, vibrant colours of rhododendrons. We had lunch in the cafe, I tried the coronation quiche, spinach and broad beans was absolutely delicious, my Aunt had leek and potato soup, we shared a piece is pistachio gluten free cake, which was very good with coffees, flat white was a good coffee to try.
Really enjoyed my visit and I’m not a gardener but appreciate others.
