The Original Pasty House

The food here was really nice for a pasty shop. I got a giant steak pasty which came with salad on the side and coleslaw, my mum for a baked potato which also came with salad. The prices were reasonable for a sit down meal. It was busy when we came on a Thursday lunchtime and we had to wait about 5-10 minutes to get a table but when we did the food came quickly. The place was clean and the women who worked in the cafe bit were really nice and friendly. Would recommend coming here for a quick lunch if you're in the area

Love this place, especially the magic bags. The food is delicious, probably the best pasties in the area that's for sure.

Lovely food will probably pop in here every time I visit Tavistock. Good service, friendly staff I strongly recommend the Pasty house.

You can't visit Tavistock and not go to the pasty house eat in or takeaway amazing can't fault it, staff are really friendly and polite no waiting 4 staff behind counter went in afternoon they had no steak n ale but said the would be out the oven in 20 mins and they would put one aside for me can't fault service 110%

Milkshakes are amazing. The food is pretty good but it's a little bit more than you'd expect to pay for food but it is worth it. Very good service and it was very busy. 9/10.

The staff were the most friendly you could meet & extremely kind & helpful. The place was clean & well maintained; as were the WC’s.
The pasty I had was fresh out of the oven, packed with the most gorgeous chunks of steak & veg. It was Divine.
The take-out tea was great as well.
Well worth a visit.

I’ve had the house double meal deal ( burger, chips n shake) twice in the last month because I enjoyed it so much. There burger is 5 star the chips are great and the shakes pretty good too, I had one small problem when I got my order delivered it was missing a small fries but when I phoned everyone was more than apologetic and when the fries turned up they gave us 2 large chips free of charge. Absolutely amazing as always thanks pasty house keep up the good work.

Didn't visit the shop but collected a Good-to-Go bag from here. Food was nicely packaged with notes on the bags of what the items were. There was plenty of choice and it was all tasty. We received 2 Pasties, a sausage roll, a filled baguette and a piece of bread pudding in each bag (2 bags) and it has lasted 3 of us easily for 2 days! Nice place, clean and spacious, but we haven't actually eaten inside yet.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Good quality food and service. Very reasonably priced and pets allowed. They even provided a FOC sausage for our dog.

The pasties are very good as always, but the beef and chicken burgers are absolutely incredible. Easily the equal of or better than more expensive high-end burger joints. The buttermilk burger chicken I had recently was not only the nicest burger I've ever had, but probably the nicest chicken, too.

Great service and an excellent modern website. One of the few places in Tavi to offer online ordering, payment and delivery. A fantastic addition to the fairly limited options we have for food delivery here.

All food is great, and good value, but the sweet chilli chicken wraps are heavenly !

Very happy atmosphere all the staff where great. Pasties where first class. Stayed near Tavistock for 11 days, visited the Pasty House 6 of those days. Never disappointed

This place does the best Pasty in Tavistock (In my opinion). There's always plenty of staff in here so even when it's busy you get served quickly. The food and drink to eat in is reasonably priced and very high quality. This is a small company with just this branch and one in the centre of Plymouth too. Definitely recommend this if you're after a meal!

Good selection of snacks. Reasonably priced and friendly staff. Had a jacket with Tuna Mayo and was very filling. Visited on a damp Sunday afternoon but was still busy with locals and visitors. Would go again if in Tavvy.

Superb service through COVID-19 with delivery. Thank you! Good local cafe. The pasties IMHO are the best in Tavistock. The hand made take away sandwiches are excellent. The sit down and eat food is good. Superb rocky road and millionaires shortbread.

Quality bakery and coffee shop ! Superb range of freshly baked pasties, hot & cold food, cakes and hot drinks. Bright spacious and clean interior with ample seating by the windows and within the depths of the premises. Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. Also a real pleasure to find a coffee shop that does not wind up business mid afternoon. Recommended !
