Asda Castlepoint Superstore

I have shopped here for years and do most of my shopping here. The staff are friendly and helpful
The store is clean and well stocked i find the prices are continually going up. The McDonald's area seems to block exit with its queues. I don't like self service tills
And there is one female manager that is rude and aggressive. Shouting at me. If she treats customers like this I wonder how she treats the staff

The assistant was very helpful, in obtaining a money card. She was very patient and explained everything in a simple to understand manner. Thank you so much 👍👍👍

So grateful to Lynne on self-service checkout this morning. On arrival home with other shopping I suddenly realised I'd left my paid-for grocery items by the till in Asda! Dashed back and spotted the same staff member I'd seen earlier. Yes, she had my items ready for my expected return, and had even kept my steakburgers in the fridge for me. What a nice experience, and Management please note.

i had a lovely experience before christmas. Chris from Scan and go was so polite and sweet, he even gave us extra chocolates! big thank you to him and for his service, we would love to see him there again.

In this time of watching the pennies it's still good value for your money with special offers around the store most things are available although a few empty gaps here 'n there.Excellent choice of reasonably priced clothing & pretty ladies nightwear + children's section is very good .Lovely fresh fruit & veg ,not forgetting the delish bakery do pop along & see the offers on the electric items + beautiful bedding & towels,bought a lovely super soft dble fitted sheet for just £5.00 . Excellent

Staff are always polite and courteous, the focus is more on self service checkouts, which is something echoed globally, nothing different in this store.

Unlike Lidl the checkouts are not so sensitive that you need a staff member every second item, but when you do have an issue the self service area is always manned anyway.

Never really had an issue with stock either.

A great Asda with good stock. Lovely staff.

I approached the store manager as to why a lot of staff have no face masks ?
And her reply was simple ? They don't have to !!!
How is this attitude encouraging members of the public to wear face masks to protect others
I am sure in the NHS staff certainly don't enjoy wearing them but do so to protect themselves and others more vulnerable
If staff don't wish to wear them maybe they should being working behind the scenes 😤 not putting others at risk
We have been shopping in several stores at Castlepoint and in other etores staff are being respectful by wearing masks
Come on asda help the NHS

What's not to like,, large store with all you could want for a week's shop and more.. Goods not the superior type but great value for money. Vast array of different types of goods from clothes, electronic, papers food and toys. Macdonald cafe in store is small and always seems busy. Nice photo department too. Staff friendly and approachable. Ample free parking and facilities in the area.

Thank you to Chris who greatly helped us this evening with our shopping. It was my big shop and Chris was kind, obliging and a great sense of humour. Very respectful.

I recently visited this store and was very impressed by the behaviour of your staff in maintaining social distancing and behaviour. Lots of other stores could learn from your approach of how to make the customer feel safe and make for a stress free shopping experience.

Parking a bit of a nightmare but the shops are great! Having two supermarkets is handy and apart from large Boots and Smiths, the range of clothing shops is good with a lovely big Marks abs Spencers. What more could you want!

I love shopping here, I'm disabled and love there electric shoppers. I've always found someone to help me, plus all the staff are extremely helpful. Everything under one roof and good price what more do you want

Great, kind, helpful and friendly staff, only thing I will say is the layout near the McDonald's was not thought through... That aside all is great 🍩
