Rounton Coffee

THIS is the coffee they serve in Heaven (Colombia, The Rich Roast). Been ordering it for 3 years straight, 1kg of dark roasted beans a month. Its still amazing, black or with milk and at any time of day. It's an 8/10 on the punch scale and so well balanced and roasted. Subtle notes of plumb, cherry and a chocolate back note. Have converted several friends to it, its an absolute winner of a blend from a business that takes it's coffee seriously and treats its customers very well. I'm switching from amazon prime to ordering direct as they've promised to price match and the gap between roast and delivery time will reduce significantly. Tom on Customer Service is super super helpful. Try it!!

I'm the only coffee drinker in my household and I like an espresso, I prefer single origin beans from Ethiopia and more generally Africa. My usual roaster is currently fixated on Central and South American beans so I looked for someone else. Now then, imagine my surprise to find a roaster from Rounton! I grew up in Welbury, a village next door, so this was just simply a business worth trying. So I ordered some beans from Rwanda, they are wonderful. Packaging, service and roasting is outstanding. I've ordered some more and also some from Uganda. If you are looking for coffee from an exceptional roaster, and trust me I've bought regularly from Origin, Square Mile, Volcano etc. these guys here at Rounton are equally as good, with service and excellently roasted beans from interesting places. Try them.

I haven't been to vist Rounton Coffee but regularly buy their whole beans for my Sage coffee machine on line. The beans are far superior to any other brands I have bought and used on my coffee machine. The taste and flavour of the beans is a individual experience so it is unfair to say which purchased beans are better. However the Daybreak blend is my own favourite but I have other I have not tried yet. Tom at Rounton's is always helpful and knowledgable and a good source of product information. The beans are a little more expensive but you really do get what you pay for. Worth the extra money for the best coffee you can enjoy.

Great coffee and great customer service. If you're prepared to buy somewhat in bulk, you can make decent savings compared to other speciality coffee roasteries. You can also save a few more pennies (pounds) if you decide to setup a recurring order (between a week to a few months).

Examples of great customer service: getting a midday order out to me on the same day in the post (they don't usually do this, but I begged them) and retrospectively adding a freebee to my order that I'd forgotten to add while ordering. All done cheerfully and without grimace.

I used to frequent other roasteries but they've either become too expensive or the accountants have gotten involved and the quality and customer service has slipped (which is always the result of accountants via shareholders getting involved). Naming no names here.

Anyway. Keep doing what you're doing, Rounton!

I was looking around for some great beans and stumbled across Rounton. Tried the intro pack and this was not disappointing! As a coffee nerd i love the whole ethos. Ordered 1kg bags now of Daybreak and El Salvador as these are superb and have introduced friends also, as this just really is that good!!

We would highly recommend Rounton Coffee. We bought our equipment and their awesome beans when we opened our first restaurant this year. From start to finish, the experience with Rounton Coffee and their team has been brilliant. They supported us through our decisions over machines, took time with us at their Granary to show us their coffee and processes, and also offered in depth training with our team before we opened. We really felt in a safe pair of hands throughout the process - the team are all so knowledgable and passionate about coffee, and they have really made our team the same way, which has resulted in lots of compliments about our coffee on site. Can't recommend highly enough!

First bags of coffee arrived this morning and wow, what a good roaster. We tried their Ethiopian single origin coffee and it was delightful brewed in our Aeropress. Looking forward to trying pour overs soon. Quick delivery too!

Excellent coffee roaster. We got a bag of the El Salvador Bosque Lya around two weeks back and wow, we all love it. The medium roast is really great for milk drinks. The name "all day drinking" definitely fits. Our (anyway high) coffee consumption just skyrocketed :)

Ordered a Hario burr grinder as a birthday gift and was contacted to say that they were out of stock but Ben sent us the more expensive version at no extra cost and it arrived the following day just in time for the birthday boy. Excellent service and the Columbian 100% Arabica was lovely too. Will definitely be using again.
