Swainby Village Store

Great place to stop for a coffee after a walk or a bike ride. Excellent sandwiches, great cakes, friendly staff and dog welcome. Only open Fri, Sat and Sun but we'll worth a visit.

Highly recommend stopping here for food and coffee, they really do good butties and hot drinks.

What a little gem, the smell of home cooked beef and pork drew us into here. Quirky little cafe, complete with sweetie shop and mini general store at the back. Lovely staff all taking time to come in and have a little chat with everyone. Sandwiches were the best we have had for a long time, tea served in China cups were a lovely option. Very reasonable prices. We will be back

Great value Cafe in this lovely North Yorkshire village. A good choice before or after your walk. Only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Also sells groceries and has a little sweet shop

Dropped in on my Sunday morning bike ride with my friend. Lovely little place. Hadn’t been in since new owners took over. It’s lovely inside and very warm and inviting. The menu is good and the quality great as well as being great value for money. Had some lovely home made root vegetable soup that was delicious. We’ll definitely be back.

Very friendly, cosy and the food (pork, stuffing and apple sauce buns) was excellent. Two buns loaded with pork (no fat) plus a large pot of tea came to just over a tenner. Strongly commend the Swainby Village Store.

Lovely vintage cafe and village shop in a pretty village. Very popular with walkers and lovely atmosphere. Dog friendly. Delicious simple freshly made hot and cold sandwiches and cake.

Absolutely love this place!! .......beautiful location, fresh home made food and such wonderfully kind and friendly staff and owners.

The store has been sympathetically renovated which adds to the great atmosphere and it's frequented by a lovely mix of people travelling through and also the local friendly residents.

Its dog friendly too so a good place to go for coffee after a long walk.

I could say more but I dont want to risk not getting a table when I go!!! 😆😆

A wonderful find on my Sunday bike ride. Delicious food, huge coffee, and very friendly owners. You can sit inside or outside and very reasonably priced. My new favourite bike stop, I will be returning with friends!

One of the best village stores I have come across on my walks. The owners and staff are so friendly and the food is beyond delicious. Swainby is so charming and welcoming, made all the more better by this lovely little spot.

I had a lovely scone and pot of tea. There's a good selection of products in the store. The staff were wonderful. So friendly and helpful. It's a credit to the village.
