Would highly recommend.

A good selection of sweet and savoury dishes, including vegetarian options.

Some nice items in the shop as well.

Seating upstairs as well as on the ground floor when you go in.

Really friendly staff.

We booked afternoon tea for mother's day and it did not disappoint! Every aspect was absolutely delicious, having a vegetarian person included was no problem at all, and the cafe itself was beautiful.

Went to this place on a whim on holiday to the Moors, and it was so good it turned from an impromptu visit to making sure we went back on our last day! If we were local we'd keep coming back for sure, and if we end up this way again we'll be returning. Super cosy retreat, hopefully we'll be back one day!

A very welcoming little cafe expecially if you have a dog [rather than a 'Hall of Fane of people' they have a 'Howl of Fame of dog pictures.'
This place is immaculate, so clean with the kitchen on show.
Very comfortable chairs and good size table. You don't feel too close.
We only had a cheese scone with an Americano, plus a diet coke & a piece of Trillionaire shortbread , with dark chocolate.
We watched dishes leaving the kitchen and they looked delicious. We will be back to sample the food.
The waiting staff were attentive. Drinks were served promptly, followed very quickly by our scone & cake.
There is extra seating upstairs, which we didn't view.
A number of walkers were using the cafe. The cafe asks you to slip on blue plastic shoe covers to help keep the premises clean, not too much to ask. ❤

Superb friendly service, excellent food, and just a 👌 atmosphere 😌. The food really is as good as all the pictures and of a very healthy portion. Well worth a detour small or large.

Excellent food, I know I only had the granola but it was delicious and the ingredients were fresh and tasty. I sat and watched the chef at the open pass. She looked like care and love went into each plate and I wish I could have stayed for lunch. I had a chat with her and the waiter. Also the coffee was the best I had all week. Recommend this place for sure. Also the cakes looked delicious and there were gluten free options too.

We made a slight detour on our drive to stop here for breakfast/brunch and we were very happy that we did. Friendly and efficient staff, fantastic food & coffee and importantly for us they are dog friendly!
I recommend ‘The old cross’.
Definitely worth a visit.

Another lovely lunch at The Joiner's Shop today. Spring has definitely sprung and we were welcomed with a lovely Daff on the table. The food and service were superb, as always.

No surprises to see that this little gem of a place is award winning. We enjoyed tea and cake here this afternoon. Welcoming staff, good selection of cakes and lovely atmosphere. Conveniently situated on the Coast 2 Coast route.

Very nice , the first time I stumbled upon this coffee shop. Sat outside as it was pleasant and i was on my bike. I ordered inside and said I would sit outside.
I got a lidded paper cup and a cake in a bag , I would have preferred a proper cup and a plate. Both the coffee and the cake were very good and sure they would have been better on pot.

Such an amazing little cafe! We stopped here on the coast to coast (as I'm sure many do). We had a superb brunch (eggs benedict) and some of the best coffee I've ever had, we also got an extra sandwich to take out (BLT) that was delicious. Would highly recommend this absolute gem to anyone. Not only are the food and coffee superb but the staff are so friendly. Very accommodating to a pair of tired smelly hikers! Top marks all round.

Fantastic brunch find. Great food and friendly staff. Had The Old Cross. 3 poached eggs on smashed avo with bacon and cherry toms. Lush and great value. Cakes looked good but didn't indulge today.

Arguably the best coffee I've ever had, and I'm comparing this to those I drink regularly in Leeds and Manchester, which makes it all the more remarkable it's in Ingelby Cross! They also made a wonderful Eggs Benedict and are dog friendly. This is set to become a regular stop for us on our way to the coast.

Fully adore the Joiners shop ! Good coffee, LUSH food, good cake, super and knowledgable staff!

Dog friendly with some little treats for the good pups!

Bit of a remote location but 100% worth the trip... Cyclists dream as your minutes from the Yorkshire Moors with some beautiful rides available!
