We hired bikes to cycle around lake Windermere and had a fabulous day out exploring. The bikes were perfect and the bike shop manager was so helpful and gave us a map and route ideas too

Great service and great bikes at short notice. We hired 2 ebikes to ride up to Wray castle on the road and gravel route. Rang and booked over the phone and the bikes were ready to collect about 20 minutes later. Bikes were ideal for this ride, effortless, progressive assistance from the e-motor. The bikes were well maintained. Not the cheapest but the whole experience couldn't have been better and great to have these bikes available in Bowness at short notice.

What an experience! EMountain biking through the the rolling hills was a joy. I am not a regular rider, but having some experience from years ago i pushed the Scott Aspect eMountain bike and myself to their limits, and i was not disappointed. Really steap inclines, decents and on the road, it is an amazing peice of kit. The assistant at the shop was very helpful on where to go, what to do and what not to do. Couldn't have asked for more.

Very nice staff, good communication from Total Adventure as well as great tips, route recommendations and suggestions. The mountain bikes are a perfect choice, we chose the non electric version to have a bit more of a workout. Great quality for a fair price, overall we are super happy with our experience and really recommend the place!

We had a brilliant day out on the hard tail EMTBs from total adventure. Jamie was very helpful in helping us choose the right bikes and giving advice and pointers for a route. Best day I’ve ever had out on a bike and I’d recommend an e-bike to anyone!

Hired hybrid electric bikes for two days.
Very well instructed on how to use and a great map with the right routes. Were able to use a back pack from them as well, all very convenient! Would highly recommend, they are all very friendly!

Jamie was excellent during our trip to the Lake District, tailoring a brilliant trail for my partner & I to take. The bikes we rented were excellent & handled the rough terrain very very well, would recommend to others mountain bike enthusiasts or people who fancy a nice bike ride in the area.

My wife and I rented two full suspension electric mountain bikes on the day. Cycled on the path suggested by the man working there – cross the ferry, cycled along the lake to Wray castle, went into the castle, then to Hawkshead (short stop) passed Hill Top, then back to the ferry. We started at around 11:30 and arrive back at 3:50. It was a great experience. The cycle route along the river to Wray castle and the one from the castle to Hawkshead (not the main road) was really nice (although the latter had a lot of gates to open).

Great place to rent bikes for the day, both manual and electric. We were a group of 8 and got everything we needed. The service was impeccable and the person who was in charge of equipping us was so lovely and helpful. Thanks so much!

Rented two mountain bikes as we are on holidays. The guys at the store were super friendly and made the process very easy. They also helped us pick a great route without traffic. The bikes are less than a year old and are really good. Highly recommend hiring bike from this place, cycling around the lake district is great.

This is such a great bike shop. Jamie helped me pick out a bike the fit me and he planned a route with me, meticulously going through ever turn, to make sure I had a great trip. He routed me through such beautiful spaces and great gravel roads. You can’t go wrong booking with them! Plus, the bike I had was in tip top shape. I was able to charge up even the steepest of hills. Rented an electric mountain bike with my sister on Wednesday. Staff were super friendly and helpful. First time using E-bikes, easy to use and incredibly fun to ride, turbo assistance is fantastic for steep climbs. We followed one of the forest/hilltop routes listed on the company website, enjoyed it so much we made a day of it and went round twice. Will definitely be back next time we holiday in the lakes.

Would highly recommend this shop for hiring bikes. Quick phone call confirmed that the Windermere branch had an ebike available to hire for my partner and suggested booking online, which we did the day before. On arrival we were met by a very friendly and helpful member of staff, given a quick tutorial on using the bikes and brief explanation on the ferry and routes. We both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely return. Thank you so much.

I had a great hiring experience with total adventure bikes recently! Very customer oriented, easy to book with, and set up the arrangement with.
Got some great tips about lake disctrict (and also elsewehere in the Uk) regarding biking/hiking.

The Full suspension MTB was perfect. Everything worked perfectly: the brakes, the gears, the suspensions (that they adjust custom made for you) were perfect. And they gave me very good MTB routes with the gpx files

Great experience renting. Nice premium bikes and fun e-bikes! Rode up to Wray Castle via ferry nab and continued to Rydal Caves. No issues with the bikes and the ebike had plenty of power and battery. Recommend!

Absolutely recommend this store for bike rental! The bikes were easy to book and the store keeper was super friendly/helpful. We hired 7 bikes which was extremely well maintained and had absolutely no issues throughout the day.
