We stopped here on our way through Windamere. The staff are lovely and very welcoming. We chose to sit in to eat and didn't have to wait long for our food. There was a steady stream of customers which I always find reassuring. We'd ordered Pizza's and they were great,plenty of toppings and lightly spiced fries. We dived into them so quickly I almost forgot to get pics. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would definitely recommend.

The pizzas were so good as its freshly baked. Had the hot shot, margherita and pepperoni. Highly recommended if you are looking for a quick and easy on the pocket meal.

We had 2 x 10 Inch Pizzas, 2 Chips, Salad and Bottle of Coke in 22 pounds. That's a good deal.

Pizzas are great and fresh ingredients. You can watch things cook. Space to sit while you wait for your order but I wouldn't sit in to eat. Not when I can have a picnic by the lake.

We arrived Windermere around 8 plus, most of the restaurants were either closed or stopped taking customers. Found this wonderful eatery. Nice food and great service! 😊👍

Just visited here this evening and I can't believe some of the negative reviews about this place. Although the staff didn't hop around grinning and dancing when I walked in, I was still made to feel welcome and they provided excellent service and food.
The person I presumed was the owner (didn't ask, as he was busy preparing the food I'd ordered) seems the type not to suffer fools glady, so if you are one to dither, try to make small talk as he's busy or just annoying in general, I'd suggest you go elsewhere. But if you show some curtesy and respect, you'll get the same back.

Now onto the food:
I ordered the mixed kebab which had grilled chicken, kofta and doner meat with salad and chilli & garlic sauce. I have had plenty kebabs in my time, but have to say this was one of the very best. A very well cooked, tasty and succulent kebab!! Fresh salad, plenty of good quality meats and slathered in just the right amount of chilli and garlic sauce. Pita was also fine.
Portion size was more than I could eat, and I'm a big bloke.
After reading some of the reviews, hilarious as some of them are....I have to admit I was apprehensive about coming here. I'm so glad I took no notice!

If you're in the area I'd highly recommend you give this place a try..... But not if you're annoying! 😄

Great kebabs here! - salad is fresh, flavourful, vibrant & zesty, pitta bread soft and warm and the meat quality is very good. All your usual choices as well as ‘Combo kebabs’ of Chicken, Shish, Kofta or Donner - all chargrilled while you wait & all excellent - portions generous and they have tables to ‘eat in’, just ask for it to eat in rather than takeaway (if there’s space)
Cash only, but they’ve just added an ATM outside, so not inconvenient.

Another visit to Popeye's friendly staff and the owner remembered me from a few previous visits and came and acknowledged me, he even remembered my previous order which was amazing... how does he do that with so many customers coming through his business. Anyhow it kinda made me feel special. Yet again fabulous tasting food with big portionsize, I love the seasoning they put on the chips. Thank you again gentlemen.

We have been looking for a place that serve halal food .
The staff were very friendly ,welcoming and patient.-I do take my time to look at the menu !
They explained what was on their menu and agreed to omit some bits and bobs that we were not too keen on!
We had the kebab meat and chips .kebab was really nice ,juicy and tender .We really loved the seasoning on the chips too. Very flavoursome.
The sauces were a delight .We throughly enjoyed the garlic sauce and the chilli sauce .
The chilli sauce was not too hot yet adds a kick to the meal.
We also had couple of beef burgers . They were just perfect .
The best thing is that ..the food was being made while we were waiting ..Great value for great food ! And beautiful service .Won't hesitate to buy from them again.

Best takeaway food..! Chicken and shish kebab. Cooked fresh in front of you whilst you wait. Great atmosphere in there as well. We stayed 3 nights in windermere and ate from here every night.. I highly recommend this place 👌

Absolutely beautiful food
We went for meal deal no.2 & got a chicken kebab & a kofte. They were beautiful. Really good value & I will definitely revisit. I ordered via the phone. That was the only issue, as the chap on the phone could not understand me, but he got the order correct & our food was ready for collection when he said it would be. Excellent 👍

19/02 just has dinner here very reasonable when compared to London prices. The donee kebab is one the best I have had. The chap takes the meat out of the skewer and then cooks it separately with onions and sauces so it’s not bland. By mistake he prepared a wrong pizza and he gave us the original one we had ordered as a takeaway. One of the guys was constantly cleaning the work top veru clean place. Very good service good price what else would you want. Thanks

Me and my family visit Popeyes yesterday. We ordered two large pizza with the Chips drinks.
The pizza was delicious. Good service. Definitely recommended.

Ultimate takeaway which has got to be one of the very best in the country. What a place! Massive menu with prompt, friendly service in a bright, clean environment. We visited off peak season and on a weekday but still very busy; its popularity is well deserved.

Just had an absolute top tier takeaway kebab from the legends in Popeye's. We ordered two chicken shish kebabs, two large chips, popcorn chicken and chips with cheese. Portion sizes were awesome, food was delicious and ordering ahead was spot on. Going in to collect my order the two gents behind the counter were energetic and fun and made you feel very appreciated.

Very busy place coz food is very good although prices are high. The happy chap in blue looking at us in the centre of our photo is a right comical friendly character. 😂 👍 😊
