The Station Inn

Just had a couple of nghts at The Station Inn. Really enjoyed it. Lovely staff. Clean rooms. Nice food. Sweet machine owes me a quid! Yeah there are niggly bits that people could moan about but why bother when overall it’s a fabby little place to stay! Loads to do in Hexham too. People are lovely. Only let down was Cranston’s sausage butty. Did well to still be alive after eating their raw sausages.

We have stayed here 15 times,on every occasion the staff have been so,so friendly and pleasant, the rooms are well appointed and comfortable

The best Sunday dinner in Hexham. Regularly go to the station to sit in for a Sunday dinner or get the take out to have at home.

The veg is always cooked well and there’s a great selection. Good portions too if you’re both sitting in or taking it away.

The pricing is on point and slightly less than some of the other places in the town.

Staff are always cheery and helpful, and I always feel like it’s a warm welcome.

What a great find! We stopped over, on the way back from Scotland. The only negative is the lack of secure parking for the bikes, so they were chained up on the walkway outside the front. Apparently they've never had any problems, and ours were fine.
And the food is really good, the chips are the best I've had in years.

Arrived at the station inn around five on Easter Sunday after a long walk.The inn was extremely busy,we asked if they were still serving food and were told food finished at four but as she was still there she would happily open the restaurant for us. The food was amazing the best Sunday roast my husband and I have ever had,the cook even came out to check food was good so just want to thank all the lovely staff especially Amy the lovely cook, Rachael and the lovely barman.We are home now but if you are ever in Hexham it has to be the station inn

I had 2 nights at The Station Inn as I had always wanted to visit Hexham and the place was truly amazing.The staff so friendly and couldn't do enough for you,the room had everything you could need,great Breakfast and Sunday lunch and very well priced drinks in the bar and the location couldn't be better for the town and the Railway station.Thank you so much to you all,you were all so great to me.I will be back whenever staying in Hexham again for sure-Oliver Hawke-Leicester

Lovely friendly place to stay. Great location for walking into the town 5 minutes away. Parking nearby, staff were wonderful, breakfast was great. Easy to find off the A69.

Really good night sleep, comfy bed, tea and coffee in the room, excellent value and I could take my dog, nice and clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Only small criticism is the shower wouldn't stay up on the holder so had to hold it. Will definatly stay again next time I am up this way greenlaning

The food was excellent. Staff were amazing. Was there for food, and I cannot comment on rooms as I never stayed overnight.

I was worried about leaving my bike on my car So the manager insisted I brought it into the hotel. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel. Thanks for a great stay.

Lovely staff! They offered me to store my bicycle in the restaurant for the night. Good rooms. Fairly priced. Good location!

Stayed here in August 2020 with a pal as we cycled the Hadrian's Wall Way. I was a bit concerned that I had gone too cheap for my mate, but he loved it as much as me. Amazing staff - all very helpul and very cheery. Comfortable beds with ensuite bathrooms, and all clean and ready when we arrived. The breakfast is awesome, and for cyclists, there is a space in the bar where you can leave your bikes. Probably not what you are looking for if you are trying to impress a loved one, but perfect for anyone looking for something honest, homely and cheerful.

I've stayed here twice, both times I was cycling through Hexham. On both occasions the team at the hotel were very helpful and accommodating of my bicycle. On my second visit I pre-arranged for a parcel to be delivered in advance of my arrival, and then for it to collected after my departure. There was an issue with the courier and the hotel team were incredibly helpful in getting the parcel back to me. I can't recommend this place enough. The beds were comfortable, rooms a decent size perfect for my overnight stay. The hotel is located right near several supermarkets and the rail station, and is a short walk (five minutes) to the centre for numerous shops and restaurants.

Awesome wee hotel - great value and super clean but dated rooms... After all it is an old station hotel from a bygone era. Staff were amazing, breakfasts brilliant. If your doing Hadrian's Cycleway be sure to stop here. Bikes are safely stored indoors. Getting into town is an easy walk and well worth a look. Highly recommended. Single room was just £39 which is fair price given everything.
