Second time coming here and I can’t say a bad word. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I asked the waitress about a sauce if it was spicy or not and she got me a small amount to try before I had it on my dish, which I thought was really lovely. She was so kind and polite throughout our whole visit. The food was absolutely delicious one of the best tear ‘n’ shares we’ve had in a long time. The loaded chips are to die for, we just had eyes bigger than our bellies and ended up having the rest to go as the portions were massive! Cant wait to come back again and hopefully be able to try the desserts!
Thank you to all the staff for making it such a pleasant experience.

Absolutely fantastic. As we walked through the door, we were greeted by the lovely lady behind the bar. She made us feel welcome and at home whilst we waited for our table. Some of the waiting staff were very young on our visit, but they were all brilliant at their job. Nothing was too much and we were served with a smile. As for the food... oh my gosh! Delicious. We can't wait to visit again.

Overall, it was a great experience!
We wisited on Saturday (3rd of August) at lunchtime. We did not book ahead, and the restaurant was quite busy, but they managed to find a table for us. I recommend booking ahead to avoid disappointment.
The food was fantastic, served in very generous portions. We had the slow cooked beef, calf liver, and chicken and fries.
The staff were lovely and looked after us throughout our meal.
Accessibility: Disabled parking is available, and a disabled toilet can be accessed via radar key (not Changing Places toilet).
Ramp access to main entrance and leading to the table area, so it's a good place to bring wheelchair users.

First time visiting here. Was recommended by a friend. We wanted somewhere nice with plenty of choice from menu as it was our wedding anniversary meal.
Food was excellent and service quick, efficient and friendly despite being busy as was evening time. Will be back again.

Fantastic food as always, fresh tasty and beautifully presented.

The slow cooked belly pork and the oven roasted cod with butternut squash and leek risotto was cooked to perfection.

The service was friendly and attentive as always..

We did pay a little extra this time as we were celebrating my 50th birthday but well worth it.

Our favourite place to eat and will be back soon.

Absolutely wonderful food. We had a lovely experience eating here. Their sticky toffee pudding is to die for. For 4 people around £150 it seems a lot, but we'll worth it. Great for celebrating birthdays or any occasion. You have to book first and pay a £5 deposit for each person. It was full when we ate and got a bit noisy with everyone talking at once. But it's still worth it.

A fantastic experience. The portions are super generous great value for money. A really good selection of dishes.
The deserts are so yummy.
The doors were open to the garden and the smell of lilacs wafted through to the dining area. Just delightful!

Had a fantastic meal today celebrating a friend's 70th birthday. The staff couldn't do enough for us, Ella the young waitress is a credit to the pub. Highly recommend.

Post wedding Sunday lunch for my Sister and Brother-in-law. What a lovely pub! - Food great, had the goats cheese and beetroot tart for starters, excellent, followed by the beef/pork combo, delicious and great portions, stuffed! Lovely staff and service. My first visit as I'm not local anymore but family come quite often. Could do with a similar venue back home up north!

This was our first visit to The Devonshire. It was great. The staff were friendly and efficient and tended to our needs without being overbearing. The environment was upmarket yet comfortable and inviting. The food was amazing. Everything tasted so good. Portions were large but not over priced. I had a pie and it was packed with meat, not half empty like in some places. Definitely will be going back to try more of the menu.

The Devonshire hosted our Wedding lunch for 28 people. The food as always was excellent no negatives. We pre booked everyones choices with Rhiannon the pre order advisor, again everything went smoothly. Ellie looked after us all and did a marvellous job, nothing for either her or Rhiannon was too much trouble. Had a memorable afternoon here and cannot thank the Chefs, Rhiannon or Ellie enough.
