My husband and I are really pretty clueless where the garden is concerned. We have a large garden and had little idea what we wanted to do with it.

Cheryl is brilliant, really patient and full of ideas. She started by asking us about how we use the garden and what we wanted to use it for in the future. She then showed us lots of photos of types of,plants to get some idea of style and type of plants we like. She took a great deal of time finding out what we like and didn't like.

From there she took soil samples and mapped the whole garden. She came up with a range of ideas, all of which we loved. She discussed the various ideas with us and when we decided in what we liked she then drew up a comprehensive planing scheme.

To force us to engage with the garden we chose to plant the garden ourselves using Cheryl's detailed planting schemes. Cheryl has been brilliant, she comes up to keep us on the straight and narrow and offers gentle guidance and support.

Cheryl is clearly very knowledgeable, nothing is too much trouble and she goes out of her way to help when she really doesn't have to.

If you're looking for a garden designer I really couldn't recommend Cheryl more highly.

Cheryl came highly recommended by a friend to help design part of our mature garden after a barn had been built to replace an old shed and some very old and diseased shrubs and trees had been removed. As a keen gardener I thought I knew what I wanted and was a bit surprised when Cheryl started by looking at our address on Google Earth but this demonstrates how she starts with the overall shape of the garden and an understanding of the surrounding landscape. Cheryl visited the garden twice. On the first we talked about how we use the garden, what we like, don’t like and how we want to maintain it. Cheryl left us with a sketch. On the second visit we refined the design on a scale drawing and discussed planting ideas. We’ve now had the plan created by a landscaper and are delighted with the result. The whole garden now makes sense – we have an interesting design that works so well but actually didn’t change much – changing a border shape, relocating an armillary sphere and creating a path through some existing trees where all unexpected things that make the garden so cohesive. Could not have achieved this without the help of a professional garden designer and Cheryl was a pleasure to work with, extremely knowledgeable, creative and generously still on hand for ongoing planting advice

Cheryl worked with me on my garden remotely, during pandemia virus. I'm very happy with the results although I'm still waiting to source some plants and also for the ones I have already planted to grow. Garden already looks amazing. I'm sure year by year will be even better. For some reason google did not upload better pictures.
