Great local pub. Always a good selection of beers. Good atmosphere.

Excellent selection of real ales, good choice of wines, and spirits. The building is over 300 years old and the current owners have been mindful not to rip its guts out and chalk paint everything. Lovely original features, gorgeous garden with the river at the bottom. Food is pub snacks, cobs, sausage rolls, and yummy local pork pies and scotch eggs. Regular monthly themed Bistro nights. Staff are friendly, and knowledgeable of their products. Love, love, love this local pub and very lucky to live so near to it. Use your locals while we still have some great ones left!!!

Lovely 17th Century Pub that backs onto the river soar, with great selection of ales, lagers and ciders.. Castle Rock Harvest Pale was good as always, then tried their always good guest goldon ale too. Theakstons on as usual and the guest Camden Hells been on for a while but always served fresh and cool👌 place was busy with friendly locals and their dogs.. lovely friendly staff who are always happy to talk and are very knowledgeable about their ales and fine array of bar snacks.

Such a cute traditional English pub, great selection of gins including titantic plum gin ( you must try it!! ). Not eaten in here but the food looks lovely from what I’ve seen.
Highly recommend.

Characterful village pub with a garden backing onto the river soar. 5 Excellent cask ales frm both local and national brewers on offer at the time of my visit.

Great atmosphere and very busy and popular for the locals who live nearby also dog friendly ( treats for your four legged freind are at the bar).

Went in here with my lads and friend for a beer...what a lovely pub really enjoyed the feel of this place 😀 😊 👍

This is a great little pub although it might not be to everyone's taste. If you like a good variety of ales and other beers on tap and aren't too fussed by a lack of shiny new furnishings then this locals pub with a welcoming feel to it comes well recommended.
They also have theme menu nights which I'm told are excellent

A proper village pub serving real ale & good food. Friendly welcome. Entrance to the small car park at the back could present a challenge for some of the larger cars or the nervous driver
Beer garden to the rear boarders the river. Early evening curfew for children.

Great food, great beer. Tried the Old John from Soar Brewery. Had to have another one, beautiful taste! Came back, another couple of pints of Old John. Consistently very very good!

Easily the best pub in Mountsorrel. Olde world former coaching Inn. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, good variety of well kept really ales and ciders. Very dog friendly. Good choice of meals and bar snacks, and it the summer a lovely beer garden by the river.

Absolutely delicious takeaway food during lockdown, especially the vegan kebab! Decent price for beer too.
We'll definitely be back, hopefully to sit in soon.

This is one of our local pubs and also our favourite. The scampi is delicious and so is the prawn sandwich. Their beer garden is lovely and they've got a quality selection of ales.

It's been 2 years since last been in because we moved over side of Leicester but it's still as good as it used to be, beer kept well and great bar snacks! And friendly staff, We will be making more of an effort to go back!
