Totnes Market

There's a market here every Tuesday and Saturday with food stalls, clothes, and crafts etc (Tuesday is Elizabethan with a bit less going on). There's a public toilet here and large health food store called green life, and a book shop. Community events are often run at the civic Hall and there are lots of posters on one side detailing events. Great place to sit and watch the world amble by, especially with the sun out.

Great little market with big selection of stalls. Lots of interesting and unusual things at reasonable prices.

Whether it's a normal market day or the food market (which occurs on the 3rd Sunday of every month,) there's something for everyone.
From second-hand vinyl records, books, cutlery to hand-carved wooden items. Special shout out to Laurie who makes & sells beautifully carved wooden animals.
Also, fresh meat, take-away burgers, brownies, coffee & food.
One of the butchers stalls kindly offers a box of free bones for you to take for your dogs to enjoy. Nice touch.

Lovely local market, bought some amazing old maps and some great food stands

A number of food stalls, the high street was beautiful with lots of shops. Had Ethiopian food for lunch which was great and a spice tea with it.

ToTNES!magic vibe. Lots off independent shops and great market. Beautiful old buildings.They have managed to keep the likes of Tesco and Costa coffee etc out off the high street and who needs them when you can buy anything you want from all the shops that seem to be doing very well.Its like walking down a high street from the sixties/seventies.Pure magic ✨

No market today, but visiting Totnes is always a pleasure. Do go to the little museum, lovely old building with plenty of history.

Amazing array of sweet/savoury produce as well as crystals, leather, healing.... you get the gist :)

An absolutely excellent little market! A great choice of fresh organic food and some interesting stalls selling jewellery etc. Highly recommended.

A wonderful market. We visited on a Saturday and enjoyed the stalls with beautifully carved wood, pretty and unusual jewellery, local art and interesting clothes. Lots of vegan food too. Much better than your average market!

You’ve got to love Totnes. Market has everything from fresh fish, honey, bread, cheese to interior decor and garden tools.

First time visiting Totnes, and I was amazed by the market. Lovely mixture of food and other bits and bobs. Will definitely be going again

Hilly..parking abit hit n miss on market days...but a great place ..visit the castle very interesting..some very nice shops..
Plenty of places to stop for tea/coffee etc etc ..

It's a good market. Food, clothes etc at the front and all sorts of stuff out the back. It's mainly a good weather market as it's out doors.
The stand that sells Curry's in the middle is well worth a visit and often has a long line of people awaiting what is simply great food.

It's a beautiful market with an amazing energy, friendly people and a huge variety of stalls

Market days are Friday and Saturday every week. Lovely atmosphere and lots of interesting items for sale.

Un-missable if you are in the area. Get there early if you want to be able to park a car.

Lovely market in 'right on' Totnes. All the usual, food, bric a brac, clothes, vintage, all sorts. Nice relaxed atmosphere. About time it was pedestrianised. Dodging the 4x4s isn't nice but other than that a good day out.

Great market. Wonderful selection considering it's quite small. Interesting stuff and some great prices. Art supplies stall was really good.
