We came today for Sunday lunch, since it is under new ownership, we had a lovely booth next to the chefs hatch, we had some bread to start, and the Parmesan twists, roast, carbonara and fish and chips, the pumpkin panacotta, blackberry tart and the special brownie.
All the food was so fresh and flavourful, the waiters and waitresses were very friendly, and being able to see the chefs at work, was a highlight to my teen, she was fascinated watching them.
We will definitely be returning, we left very full and happy, keep up the great work.

Food is excellent.. Perfectly cooked roast duck breast with special puree and red wine jus.. Burger is also delicious. Kid’s gnocchi is great as well. Service is 5/5.. Sparkling clean and good atmosphere. Not cheap but worth every penny.

So pleased to have this back at the top of the game since it CHANGED HANDS last week. Just uped the game for excellent quality at very sensible money. Fab. Chilled, relaxed, excellent

We stopped by here for a few drinks on our way through Grantchester and were so impressed with the gorgeous setting, great selection of drinks and in particular the excellent staff! Although we didn't have time to stay for food, the menu looked so good that we made a point of coming back two days later for a Sunday roast, which were cooked to perfection and hands down the best Sunday roasts we've had in a long time (the veggie wellington especially). They're also dog-friendly and have some really lovely outdoors spaces to sit and take in the surroundings. 10/10, highly recommend!

Delightful Sunday roast. Totally delicious, amazing service, fantastic 3 course menu which is very fair in price. We tried a lot of the dishes on the menu and each was delightful. Highly recommend and be sure to book in advance as this restaurant is very popular!

good food, dog-friendly indoors and outdoors, a cozy comfy atmosphere, and free parking. what's not to like? I would 100% return if only because they're kind and accommodating towards my dogs.

We dropped by for a pint and were immediately impressed by the bar staff, who were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They made us feel like long-time regulars. Despite the pub being packed, we cheekily asked for a table for two, and to our surprise, they accommodated us without any hassle or rush. It was a relief, especially considering it was their opening night.

We were seated quickly and greeted warmly. Our drinks arrived promptly, along with some tap water served in what can only be described as the ugliest yet coolest jug I’ve ever seen—I’ve just ordered two for myself! The food was nothing short of delicious; I highly recommend the pommes Anna and the steak. Once again, the service was top-notch.

I’ll definitely be back tomorrow!

I'm not much of a drinker but can be picky when it comes to my low alachol drinks. However, the bartender, Harry, was very helpful in describing the various alcohol free/low drink options today. They helped me find something to enjoy. The atmosphere was really nice. Will definitely be coming back. Thanks :)

I had lunch today and it did not disappoint; everyone was welcoming and the atmosphere was lovely! Decided to have a large lunch that consisted of a 3 course meal as I wanted to try so much of the new menu.
The highlight was my main, the Smoked Haddock Chowder which ended up in the *very* clean plate club- it was so moreish and delicious!
It’s not often that a pub serves orange wine also, and I was so happy to see that option as I love funky and adventurous wines and it paired well with my Chowder! I just want to say a hug congratulations to Pasky and his team on their new adventure and can’t wait to see their success at this venue.

There's something special about this place! Recently under new ownership, Pascky and his team have worked magic to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that you can't help but fall in love with. It’s such a beautifully designed, thoughtfully decorated boutique restaurant / upmarket country pub.

The food is next level—some of the best in Cambridge, without a doubt. You can feel the heart and care that’s gone into every aspect, from the renovation to the service, you can tell it’s been a true labor of love.

The team deserves all the success and support—it’s a hidden gem and I’m sure will be winning award after award once word gets out!!

Out of all the pubs in the area this is one of my favourites to visit. The ambience here is always lovely and the staff, ever so friendly.

I fancied something new today but still along the lines of the classic lager I enjoy, the gentleman behind the bar was very helpful in suggesting the ideal beer! Big thanks to Harry and the team :)

We hired the first floor private function room and roof top terrace for our Golden Wedding Anniversary celebration and were very well catered for by your staff. Jemima, though she had only recently moved into her current role, immediately inspired confidence, quickly grasping what we wanted, replying promptly whenever we got in touch and being full of helpful, sensible suggestions about the catering arrangements, buffet menu and choice of drinks. Harry, who looked after all the practical details on the day, was cheerful, attentive and went out of his way to check that everything was working out as we'd hoped - it was. The setting is excellent - smart but relaxed and informal - and the roof terrace a delightful place to relax with your guests on a summer's day. The buffet lunch was excellent with a varied and appealing choice of vegetarian and non-vegetarian treats. We can only apologise if our thirsty grandchildren drank you out of pineapple juice on the day - it's a big favourite of theirs!
We came to you for a birthday celebration last year and it was great to be back at the Rupert Brooke. Once more we were delighted with the overall experience and it was the perfect place to gather our family for a happy and truly memorable celebration. Thank you for all you did to help make it that way.

I came to the Rupert Brooke for a lovely dinner and it did not disappoint at all. We were served by Joe Davies that provided excellent service and nothing was too much trouble for him. Made us feel very at home and comfortable.

Thank you very much.

Such a shame this pub is changing hands!!!

Great local spot! Consistently good food and drinks. The service is top-notch, especially from Harry the waiter - always friendly and attentive. It's pet-friendly too and they even have a menu for dogs! Had a pleasant surprise of a free Birthday dessert after they learnt we were there to celebrate. Thank you!! Highly recommend The Rupert Brooke for a reliably good dining experience.

Fantastic lunch - we all had different meals in our group and everyone enjoyed it very much. My kids are picky eaters, and the team was very accommodating. My roast was one of the best I've had anywhere out in a long time!

I must say, The Rupert Brooke’s meticulous attention to detail on a culinary and decor basis…are on a high level.

This is not a simple “fish n chips”….
We also had a taste of Posh Fries and Posh dirty chips.

A must try restaurant for both intimate and corporate experiences!
