Make sure you look for VERA, Green Man. Everything you want from a British Country Pub serving food. Exceptionally warm friendly accommodating staff. I am pleased that this beautiful pub has re opened as previously wanted to come here on recommendations. We had booked the wrong pub, but the wonderful cheery staff made us so welcome. The Cauliflower and side of bhaji Soup was delicious creamy and very tasty. The Sunday roast cooked perfectly we had the sirloin of beef. Service was great, vibrant atmosphere. Dog friendly although we had left ours at home, I wish I had room for the desert but needed a lie down after the fill. Thank you, we look forward for returning on our travels.

New refurbished.

We stopped by “mistake” and we been soooo surprised by everything!
Staff - location - furniture - outdoor - food - everything!!!

Not too many choices of food but is worthy to go!

Wow. What an incredible meal from start to finish!

Very difficult to park, it's a shame because I imagine it's one of the larger reasons people may struggle to travel here to try. Parking sharing with the nearby green king would do wonders!

The waitresses were incredibly kind and jolly throughout service - very helpful when asked questions.

The starter, main and dessert's value for money was off the charts.

For £30, a very filling main and a Michelin star taste is incomparable. I've paid 20 quid for a dry and tasteless burger at Greene King pubs.

I can't stress enough: you MUST try this place at least once. Set aside about 70 quid per person for 3 courses and a drink and you won't regret it!

Food was quite solid, good portions. Our waitress was lovely and very friendly. Great outdoor seating areas as well for a drink before sitting for a nice meal!

We had a delicious meal with warm and friendly service from Ellie. The atmosphere was quiet but this didnt affect our enjoyment of the meal. The food was high end pub food, beautifully cooked.

This is a lovely old pub that has finally been taken over by people endeavouring to utilize its true potential. It has been beautifully redecorated inside, with tasteful decor and even the loos are now gorgeous! They’ve put a new bar and serving area in the back garden, revived the garden itself and put soft tasteful lights throughout. We now look from our home to see a thing of beauty and tempting draw for the occasional meal out. Barry is an outstanding chef that delivers a variety of tasty dishes and even the bar snacks (meals for me) are wonderful. If you’re lucky you may pop in on a day when he’s been baking, which is always a treat.

The Green Man in Grantchester is a really lovely old pub, but over the last few years it fell into disuse and almost ruin. Happily it has now been acquired and refurbished, and is offering mid to high end food. I went there last evening in a group of six, and to a man/woman we all really enjoyed our food. The wine and beer was great too. The ambience is excellent, and would certainly do for a special occasion - birthday, anniversary etc. It's a big cut above 'pub grub', but at £55 per head, all-in, which it was for us last night, I can report that it's very good value indeed.

We stopped in here a couple of months ago on our e-bikes as we were cycling round Cambridge . I noticed they filmed here on the GodManchester TV series. Lovely pub

Never been to Grantchester - called in for lunch - really nice & the venue is lovely - highly recommend as lots of space outside - beer garden goes on forever. Most enjoyable.

Haven't been here since it reopened after COVID lockdown.
Stunning refurb in and outside with a great undercover patio and long spacious garden.
Came for dinner, and though the menu was smaller than other places I've visited, the food was excellent and service was excellent.

I would have posted more pictures of the food but it was eaten too quickly!
A lovely walk (or cycle) along the river from Cambridge will bring you to Grantchester, and this delightful pub - the interior is like stepping back in time, from the wood-burning fireplace to the wooden beams and the solid, sturdy furniture.

The staff are friendly and give good advice on food and drinks to choose; there's a wide menu featuring many unusual ingredients and with suitable options for vegetarians or vegans that sound just as appealing as the meat dishes. I had lamb and feta with fries; it was divine, especially with a pint of cider alongside!

Prices aren't bad for the South of England, especially considering the quality of food on offer - a solid choice all around!

Went on a Sunday, so only the Sunday lunch menu was available. Had the smoked salmon starter and the roast beef as main course. The roast beef was delicious, simply the best, not the usual stuff you get everywhere so worth a try. It is quite expensive though and only roast potatoes/gravy and watercress are included. Ordered green beans on the side for an extra £6. The staff is so well trained and friendly. My glass was never empty! Thank you team for a lovely meal.

The setting inside an old country pub is really cosy and relaxed with a classic wraparound bar area and a small intimate dining room. We had to wait a short time before we could be seated but that gave us time to chat and have a drink. The food was presented beautifully and there's huge amounts of skill both in the cooking and the concepts. There are 4 options in each course and a few of the menu items change at a time. I had Quail to start, Duck as a main and a Dog based dessert. It was all beautifully cooked and very tasty. We'd love to go again.
