Where to start? From beginning to end, The Lawn were the perfect venue choice! Not just because of the stunning house and gardens, but because David and the team made every step as stress-free and enjoyable as possible (even with all the questions we kept pinging them). We knew before we visited that The Lawn was the venue for us, to the point we booked then and there! We had absolutely no worries leading up to the day about how things were going to run and throughout the day there was always someone on hand (and with a smile). Honestly, words cannot express how wonderful our day was - utterly perfect! Thank you for everything!

Today on 16 August 2024, I worked in my capacity as professional wedding celebrant, delivering a very unique and fun wedding blessing to my clients. The venue was very nice and well kept, and staff were very helpful. Look forward to returning in the future.

We got married at The Lawn on Saturday and we had the most amazing time. All the staff were extremely helpful, David Keddie and the team are superb. We had a small buck up with our sweet cart not arriving but David quickly arranged a table for the sweets whilst I was getting ready. I had the most incredible experience having my wedding day at the lawn. Everything was perfect they went above and beyond in every way possible and nothing was ever too much trouble. The venue and food was absolutely gorgeous, all the staff were really friendly and accommodating and made everything run so smoothly. All of mine and my mums emails were answered immediately and all of our requests were handled with such care and were carried out so perfectly. They absolutely bent over backwards for us, I cannot thank the wonderful David Keddie and his fantastic team enough, they should be so proud of themselves. Such an amazing and beautiful venue. I 1000% recommend anyone to book the lawn for their wedding, I can’t sing their praises enough or even put into words how grateful I am for making our wedding day the day of our dreams.

I love the Lawn - it's the perfect wedding venue. As a photographer and videographer of weddings at The Lawn, I can highly recommend it. A historic house with sufficient grandeur, features and space - you have the option to marry in the high vaulted hall with its magnificent staircase entrance to the ceremony, or outdoors in the rose garden under the gazebo which is equally impressive. The Lawn has extensive outdoor space for your guests to spread out, either on the sun terrace, on the lawn itself or indoors in the spacious orangery. Bridal preparation is catered for with two rooms upstairs, with plenty of natural light and a really impressive balcony overlooking the lawn. It's not too big a venue, but perfect for a wedding of at least 100 and has the space you'd associate with a very large wedding venue. Definitely add this venue to your list of Essex Wedding venues.

Thank you to David and all the staff for making my daughter and son inlaws wedding so special, everything was excellent from the meals, service and staff, they looked after the married couple from the day they booked until the day after the wedding.
If you are looking for a venue then this is the place for you.

Had an amazing day at the classic and retro car show in the grounds of the lawns. Took over an hour to get in as the roads were all blocked with traffic trying to get into the show! The cars were fantastic but the organisation wasn’t great as the cars weren’t in any kind of categories and there was only one burger van with hugely inflated prices of £9 for a burger bun with cheese and over an hour’s queue to get one so we didn’t bother. The only other food stall was for pizza and they ran out of food!!

I often DJ at weddings held here. Check out this amazing building and fabulous grounds. Great big fountain and amazing striped lawn make for a terrific backdrop for all of your photos.
Inside you'll find several rooms and the bar area so that you can enjoy any function there at your own pace. Chatting in peace, or right in the middle of all the action. In the summer they host a huge car show here.
I was DJ for the evening on this particular night. Lovely couple and friends and family all had a terrific day and evening. Their choice of music. Plenty of dancing and singing all night! If you need a local DJ & Photographer I'd be happy to help.

We got married here in November. What a beautiful venue. Management and staff are so friendly and helpful. They really do look after you. So responsive to every email or call I made asking questions. Allowed for last minute changes and tweaks due to covid. The catering was amazing and looked after everyone with special dietary requirements. Can't wait to go back for events they hold as you truly feel welcome each time you go.

I've been here as a guest and as a DJ and without a doubt it's one of the premier wedding venues in the area. Beautiful inside and out. Beautiful grounds and surroundings. You can't go wrong with this place. Highly recommend.

Went for a wedding. Very impressed by the layout, efficiency and professionalism of the whole affair. Well recommended. Make sure you get out onto the lawn itself and see the grounds - very pretty. Well worth a visit
