Homebase - Rayleigh Weir

I recently visited the Homebase store in Rayleigh Weir, Essex, during a personally challenging time - the Christmas season has been tough following the recent loss of both my parents. Amidst this, I had a remarkable experience that I feel compelled to share.

I was at Homebase to purchase some paint and compost and was served by an employee named Kimbo. Her exceptional customer service stood out. In an age where genuine human interaction is increasingly rare, Kimbo's warmth, empathy, and professionalism shone brightly. She made a difficult day significantly better with her kindness and understanding.

It's rare to find such outstanding service in retail these days, which makes it all the more important to recognize when it does happen. Kimbo is a true asset to the Homebase team - her approach to customer service is exemplary.

To anyone looking for a positive shopping experience with staff who genuinely care about their customers, I highly recommend this Homebase store. And to Kimbo, thank you for making a difference.

Great from ordering online to pick up made so easy

Friendly staff. Reasonably priced stock. Good selection of plants in Garden Centre. Staff very helpful snd willing to carry heavy items out yo my car. Dogs welcome and they get a lot of fuss!

The staff at this Homebase store are always very pleasant and helpful. Excellent customer service every time we visit. It's a relatively large store and always well stocked with all the typical DIY products you would need. There is also a decent garden centre, a small Tapi carpets section tucked away at the back, and a Bathstore upstairs with showroom suites.

On New Year’s Day I was served by Jessica, in your Rayleigh store, and even though it was New Year’s Day Jessica was so pleased to be on the check out, greeting me with a genuine smile and wishing me a happy new year. Jessica is definitely a great ambassador for your company, and deserves recognition.

I often shop at this Homebase store but my visit today was concerned with buying decorating supplies. We were served by Gerry in the paint section and was very impressed with his great knowledge and sound advice, all delivered with a cheery, friendly disposition. It's always a pleasure to shop when you receive such a good service.

Good choice at great prices

Bought a few bits for garden, washing line ect..then filled my car up in their garage....cheaper than on the island were I live..so I take both cars there weekly

Went in for a garden pressure spray came out with that and some bathroom fittings for a future project all at greatly reduced prices so very happy. Staff very good, probably could have done with putting an extra person on the tills to lighten the queue a bit quicker, but it wasn't bad enough for me to moan..!!
