Aruvi Indian Restaurant And Bar Spennymoor

This is our 3rd time visiting this restaurant and the food has always been fantastic, the staff are all so friendly and can’t do enough for you! We called in on the off chance of a table tonight the lovely girls made sure we were accommodated with nice table and good service….definitely the best Indian food in County Durham x

We are so happy that we held my husbands birthday dinner here. There were 11 of us who had never been, but all live locally and had heard good things.

From booking with them to bringing the cake to the table, the service was top notch. The food - not one complaint as everyone was loving it.

The only thing we would want in the future is some beer, such as John Smith or Guiness for those who don't drink lager.

What a lovely night and we will be back.

Back again many time. Still hoping for a beer or ale as my husband doesn't drink lager and doesn't care for cider but food is fantastic.

We struggled to find somewhere to eat on a hot Saturday with suitable cover from the blazing sun.
The outdoor seating area is lovely, some seating under cover, some in the sun. Just perfect.
Nice little area for children to play, suitable for 1-4 year olds.
There was one lady serving and she was just super nice. Attentive, accommodating and all round friendly.

Food was great. Fish and chips was just amazing and the home made cheese cake was the best we've ever tasted. Can not fault the food we had.

We would happily come back regularly.

The food is out of this world. The lamb dishes we had, I couldn't talk highly enough of them.
Staff were very interactive, with great knowledge of the menu. A lovely array of food options to choose from.
A huge improvement from the pub that was previously located their.

One of the best restaurants I have been to and ordered from in a very long time. Their is so much to choose from, the staff are always so lovely and very welcoming.

Unbelievable and the best I’ve had, seriously so fresh so tasty, honestly you won’t be disappointed, if you like a bit of heat I’d recommend the naga mixed kebab or the unreal Badboy burger, just wow

The best chicken curry , fried rice , chips and nan I’ve had was cooked perfect and tasted amazing, you’ve got a regular customer 🤗

Have eaten here 4 times now, food is beautiful, the staff are excellent, attentive and approachable. It’s just great food, best curry we’ve had in a very long time. Would highly recommend.

Amazing service to start, followed by food that absolutely delicious!!! As a surprise birthday treat, the Aruvi team provided the perfect setting, cake with a huge candle/sparkler and sang happy birthday ❤

Just had a lovely birthday celebration with our youngest son. Food always 1st class but what makes this lovely place stand out are the amazing staff. Kind, friendly and so helpful. Just love them. A new favourite for us and highly recommended xx

I don't ever write a review but the food I order today was soo amazing it stayed on my mind for the rest of the evening.
I am a really picky person and I have been to many indian restaurants, but this is by far the best.

Absolutely superb Restaurant. The food was AMAZING!! The staff were fabulous. Helped with menu choices. Told us we were ordering too much! We even had lots left over to bring home. We were celebrating 🍾 a Birthday and couldn't of chosen a nicer place to go. A complimentary drink for the birthday boy went down very well!

Having moved from near Bradford, where you are spoilt for choice , I’d given up of finding a good curry house, then I found Aruvi. You will not be disappointed, the food is exceptional, lovely staff 10/10 . Believe me I’m an expert!

Absolute knock-out. Staff trained by Michelin star chef, owner who welcomed us personally and gave fantastic recommendations, beautifully decorated restaurant. Not to mention we booked last minute and near the end of the night and were still given the 5 star treatment. To top it all off, the food was absolutely gorgeous, authentic south-asian cuisine straight from the heart of Bangladesh (it was really authentic, we dined with people who've lived there and they said it was true to the source). Well priced, lovely portions, highly recommended to anyone.

Amazing food with amazing service as well, anything on the menu we didn’t understand got explained to us really well, and you can tell they are genuine people who are very proud of their restaurant. Highly recommend the chicken tikka madras or the Bengali curry if you like a bit of spice. The best curries we’ve ever had and a great variety of things to choose from as well, absolutely going back :)
