The Green Tree 1727

Really friendly helpful staff. Visited with our camper van and they allowed us to stay for free on their carpark. Lovely atmosphere with roaring fire. We wanted food but the kitchen isn't open on a Monday. They suggested we order a take away and have it delivered to the pub. Great service. Will be going back.

Such a heartwarming and lovely place. We stayed here for a night with our campervan and had some drinks in the pub.
We had a very warm welcome and felt very comfortable. Would definitely come back to stay, eat and drink.

So myself and a dear lady friend went for lunch on the28/9/24 the area is so beautiful post card like I bet it’s amazing when there snow on the ground as far the the place the food was amazing staff couldn’t ask more any more the price was really good too I would definitely recommend this place we are going back

Been meaning to try this local pub/restaurant for ages as it's local to us.
Great menu with lots of choice, I had the steak and black pudding pie with homemade chips, it was delicious, wife had the corned beef pie but opted for fries. Large portions on both meals and the desserts are also homemade and to die for wife recommends the ginger sponge pudding, I personally recommend the apple and blackberry crumble, both came with custard, but you could have icecream or cream instead.
Tracey at the bar was very welcoming and helpful.
Top place to dine or just a quiet drink plenty of well kept beers 🍻 and really good choice of gins and other spirits or cocktails 🍸.

Fantastic Sunday Lunch. Portion size was incredible. After getting off at wrong bus stop we nipped in the Daleside Arms because we thought we would have ages to walk they were quite rude in manner of telling us we have book. It's just as well because we set out to go to the Green Tree right from the word Go!!.

We ended up getting here later than planned as we had walk bit further. But the Staff were great and bent over backwards squeeze us in. It was towards end of Sunday Lunch but they checked with Kitchen and made us feel like it was not a problem. We had a Child and baby who was flat out in pushchair.

Sunday lunch was Fantastic and portion size was super. Staff helpful attentive and friendly and after reading good reviews on Google I set out try somewhere new and it was well worth it. Thank you for your help and Kindness we will recommend you to all the friends family and we will be back.

Beautiful village pub with ample parking spaces. lovely food and great selection on menu, very friendly staff. Definately recommend visiting, seating area at the front and beer garden at the back with play area for children

Found by chance in a lovely little village as staying locally for work.
Dropped in for a meal, ham egg and chips. Any may I say I was not disappointed.
Managed to fit me in as was fully booked.

This pub has been around since 1727, and with food and service like this, it will be around for nearly another 300 years. Very dog friendly, and also, it is one of the best pints of San Miguel I have had.
