Derwent Water Lake

Did this scenic 10 mile walk today and thoroughly enjoyed not just the walk but the stunning scenery that came with it.

I'd throughly recommend it as it's an easy ish walk with an online downloadable map to guide you on your way.

Took a walk down from visiting the thursday market in keswick so the dog could have a paddle in the lake and ended up being around for a couple of hours.
Lovely spot and if you are lucky you might see a jet or two doing a fly by.
Food and drink available and toilets and with most of the lakelands is very dog friendly.

Lovely walk on my short trip to keswick. Lovely walk options and even wheelchair friendly for most of it which is brilliant if needed. Is a must-walk whilst in the lake district.

Stunning place, easy walk from the carpark where there are toilets and a cafe etc. worth a visit. Have to pay for the toilets though in the carpark!

This will be one of the most memorable experiences of my life. We almost missed it, but I had with me my friends who were ready to walk. We could have seen the lake, by just sitting in a car, but we decided to take a walk and what we saw was beautiful. I suggest you take a small walk to see this beautiful place. The scenery is breathtaking.

First, water animates the magnificent still mountains; Second, clouds add more dynamic feelings to the view; Third, you can’t stop photoing. That’s the main theme of today’s circle tour of the lake. Itchy mosquito contact has happened. For the car park, NationalTrust car parks around the lake are good options.

Amazing walk, we stayed in Keswick so not a far walk atall. Varied terrain, great places to stop for a picnic or a cafe in the marina. My Garmin said 14K which took us about 3hours.

This place is literally heaven on Earth. Went on the coldest day with temps at -3 but still couldn't get myself to leave. I cannot recommend it enough. Would give it many more than 5 stars if possible.

Beautiful misty morning at Derwent Water, not raining too hard!

So much to see and do. Take a boat trip and hop on and off?? Walk round the shore and enjoy views of the fells?? Find the giant hand sculpture?? Take iconic photos of the jetties?? Watch the swallows at play, and avoid capture by the amazons?? The choice, is yours!!!

Stunning location, the water do peaceful and beautiful. Parking is available at various parts of the lake, definitely worth a visit!

Can't beat a Christmas morning walk around the shore, couldn't do the full circuit because of flooding at the top of the lake, still stunning even in windy conditions.
