Endymion House

We had such wonderful stay at Endymion House over half-term. It is a very special house – very stylish, very comfortable and with magnificent views. It suited our family celebration with plenty of space for the four year old to run around, the teens to skulk around and for granny to put her feet up! Easy access to good walking (for all ages) meant that everyone was happy. Vic, the owner, was very responsive and helpful in the run-up to our visit which meant that there WAS a birthday cake! It was just glorious.

I was lucky enough to stay at Endymion house for a family celebration. As a family group we have stayed in several large houses in recent years but Endymion House is in a league of its own. In every room and in every corner the time and love put into renovating this house are apparent. The thing that really sets it apart from other holiday rentals however is aside from its stylish interiors it feels like comfortable and much loved home. . So many wonderful places to chill out and admire the stunning views of the surrounding fells. Vic the owner is helpful and seems very invested in people getting the best out of their stay. We hope to return next year

We had an excellent weekend stay at this beautiful house. The house has been refurbished tastefully and to an extremely high standard. Period furniture, powerful hot showers, comfortable beds. The photographs don't do the house justice! There are wonderful, expansive and constantly changing views, and footpaths straight from the front door. Keswick is a short drive from the house, with all the supplies you need from your stay. There is so much more to do than just enjoying the outdoors: we enjoyed the pencil museum in Keswick, which was more interesting than it sounds!

We had a wonderful stay at this stunning house. The house was brilliant and fit for purpose: a utility room for muddy boots, plenty of bathrooms for large groups and wonderful communal areas. The kitchen was well equipped and the owners left a generous welcome package that was a lovely surprise.

I left an item behind and the owner was super responsive and helped me get the item back promptly which was much appreciated

This is a very special place. We stayed as a large family group. There was plenty of room to have space for time alone if needing to escape the crowd! The house is beautifully presented and the views from the terrace, balconies and windows are stunning. We loved all the Art Deco style and furnishings whilst appreciating modern bath/shower rooms. The garden has plenty of room for games of cricket and football and was perfect for a delayed Easter egg hunt which the children loved. We enjoyed a tour of Honiston Slate Mine, a visit to the Pencil Museum in Keswick, a play at the Theatre by the Lake, rowing on Derwentwater and some energetic hill walking. Some of us also enjoyed just sitting looking at the view and chatting; the house is perfect for relaxing in.

Repeat customer - always have a pleasant experience here. The care and attention gone into the refurbishment is absolutely obvious. Tastefully modernised. The views are spectacular, you can see why the house was built here in the first place all those years ago. Being totally honest, the Agatha Christie references and art deco styling wouldn't usually be my thing, and perhaps if I'd been in charge of booking our trip I wouldn't have chosen it originally; however the experience is so comfortable and luxurious that I really didn't mind!!

Fantastic house

Lovely house just a shame it wasn't cleaned properly. Location was in the perfect spot with pictures perfect views of the hills and surrounding greens.
