Nichol Ends Cafe

We were recommended this place by our b&b and we are extremely happy we ended up coming here. Thanks to the Chalets poor take on veggie breakfasts.

We ordered two veggie breakfasts and tea. When they came out I couldn't wait to tuck in. They were two PROPER breakfasts, loads of toast as well, no skimping on that like some of the places do. Even though it was a large breakfast, the quality is still just as good as other places. The onions/mushrooms were fried to perfection.

Sitting outside looking out is a great spot as well, enjoying the views of people having a go at kayaking and such. Anyway next time we are up these ways this is a definite for the list to come back to, maybe next time we will get to try some kayaking!

Lovely friendly staff, beautiful views and the most enormous delicious scones I've ever had. I've never been beaten by a scone until today but thankfully doggy bags are provided!! See you when I'm back in June.

Quite frankly I have just eaten the largest scone that I have ever eaten - seriously. Coffee was lovely too and all freshly made - just what was needed after a long walk. Can see why it’s popular with walkers - dog friendly too.

The best thin crust pizza I've had in ages and portion size is perfect for sharing. Nice tea, scones and fresh cakes too!

Stopped in here for lunch during a walk around the lake. Really happy with our meals! Generous portions and reasonable prices. Well worth a visit if only for the huge and tasty scones! Nice tomato soup served with a warm baguette as well.

Stopped of a bike ride. Staff were very very friendly. Scones are amazing.

When they say 'Huge' for the sausage sandwich, they are not exaggerating. It was over a foot long! And the scones!!! Put your hands together, make them into fists and that's about the size of 1 scone...with a pot of jam and fresh cream. Unbelievable.

I have loved this cafe since I was a child. I would recommend this cafe to any person who is walking past or even driving past.
This area also has a great range of water sport activities including paddle boarding, canoeing, sailing, motorboating, or a pier to catch the 'launch' around the lake.

Love this place. We come here every year for the scones. The lad who served us behind the counter is very friendly helpful and welcoming.

Best ice-cream ever 👍 and welcoming friendly folks. We first tried it in 2015 and it's got to be good enough for the kids to still remember it and insist on going again all the way from Cambridge 😉
