Waterside Cafe

Good location for a bite to eat and refreshments whilst overlooking the water. Clean and tidy and dog friendly. A short walk to Normanton Church..

Nice little cafe with lovely views and several picnic benches to sit outside. We had sausage chilli mozzarella toasties with cold drinks and icecream after a long walk with our pooch from the Sykes carpark. You order and pay for the food inside and get table service bringing the food outside when ready. The weather was sunny and very warm and the views were stunning. Rutland waters was calm while lots of people were enjoying sailing or having fun on the beach and in the water. Definitely one of the best places to go for a nice leisurely walk.

We had a lovely visit today with our little dog Billy. Nothing was too much trouble. Bob had a bacon bap and I had an egg bap but because I don't like fried egg the kind staff cooked me a scramble egg bap..... and it was delicious. (Definitely would go back for that alone!!!) Billy had already had a dog treat when we walked in. When we ordered our coffee and hot milk for Billy, the lovely girl asked if he would like wippy cream. Bonus. There was a bit of a delay re the baps arriving but they could not have been more apologetic. The views are great and there are sofas too to really relax. Thank you Waterside Cafe and it won't be long before we are bac... especially as we now have a year's car park pass.

The brie and bacon griddle me is delicious and so are the chips. Love the views and atmosphere, very relaxed.

Visited for a coffee as a group of 8 including children, unfortunately I did not catch the lady who served us name, but I cannot fault the service which she provided, was very polite and efficient. Also made an amazing coffee for us all including a very well presented hot chocolate. Will return if I’m ever in the area again

Cafe with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and lovely views of Rutland Water in places. Good value for money, basic options (breakfast, burgers, paninis, cakes, coffee and ice cream etc) but everything was well presented and service was quick even for cook to order items. Gluten-free lemon cake was tasty and moist.

5 star as it has vegan croissants, good coffee, friendly staff and ability to reserve tables. However based on the disappointing cooked breakfasts (vegetarian and meaty) it'd be 2.5 stars.
