I have recently taken part in the Level 4 Learning and Skills Mentor apprenticeship, as well as mentoring an individual on the Level 3 Warehousing course. I was extremely impressed with the high level of support offered by Optimum Skills throughout both courses. My mentor Lynda Ferguson was easy to communicate with, had a depth of knowledge and tailored all lesson plans to suit my individual learning styles. She could not have been more supportive and allowed me to progress quickly both professionally and personally during my time with Optimum. I can not recommend Optimum highly enough.

I completed my Digital Marketing apprenticeship with Optimum Skills. I have just found out today that I have gained a ‘Distinction’ and I am feeling very proud of myself. My tutor, Barbara Robson, went above and beyond at every point to support me throughout each element. The whole team at Optimum Skills are lovely and make you feel very welcome. They provided you with the materials and tools to ensure you feel confident with your work. I cannot thank Barbara enough for her support, she has been amazing throughout! Thank you so much for helping me to gain this accolade!

I am an apprentice completing a warehouse qualification and have had a change of assessor . I was very nervous, because didn’t know how it would affect my apprenticeship, but it has been a very positive move. My new assessor Lynda Ferguson has been very understanding and helpful towards the whole situation. My sessions are very useful, more engaging and I am becoming more confident throughout the program.

Completing my apprenticeship with Optimum Skills was a very rewarding and enjoyable process. My tutor Fran came to see me at my workplace at a time that was convenient for both myself and my employer. My tutor gave me plenty of knowledge and support and overall, I had a very positive experience, especially when I got my results to say that I had passed my course.

We worked with Optimum Skills in the summer, signing two of our employees up to the Level 2 Certificate: Understanding Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health Advocacy in the Workplace. Rachael came to our office to set us up and get us ready and was great - professional and personable. We had all the course materials we needed to get started the same afternoon.

The course itself was very worthwhile, and we received support all the way through when it was needed. We'll look forward to working with Optimum Skills again soon, and Rachael in particular.

Our staff at Back on the Map in Sunderland did a mental health training course with Optimum Skills. The course covered a wide variety of issues around mental health and was very informative. The trainer gave us lots of time for discussions and Q&A.
Rachel Lawson the business and development manager is always keeping us up to date with any new courses that would benefit our staff. Rachel's been out to meet us on a few occasions where she's explained the criteria of the courses and sat with individuals if they need any further information. Rachel is a very professional and well manured person. Thanks Rachel for keeping us in the loop of any course and always appreciating it.

I have nothing but positive words to say about Optimum Skills; from the moment you walk through the door, the smile and warm welcome envelop you.

Never has a firm I've had the pleasure of meeting been so committed to their clients and suppliers - learners, employers, partners - all are treated superbly. Keep up the brilliant work!

Optimum are an absolutely excellent company to work with. We found a brilliant apprentice here. Andy was the gentleman representing Optimum in our case. He answered all emails almost immediately and always stuck to the timelines we had discussed.

We had Andy sort out our hiring issues.

I’ll cut a long story very short. We are a physio and osteopath clinic that desperately needed a receptionist/admin.

We approached 3 other apprenticeships agencies and had no results at all.

Andy sent an email and was in our clinic 2 days later. A week later we had an application to fill and and access to instant CV’s.

New start in place and already performing.

I’ve passed his details onto another local clinic who needs help too.

I have been unemployed since May and the people at the Middlesbrough office were extremely helpful in providing me with training to enter the workplace again as a warehouse worker, they provided me with the knowledge needed to pass my certification tests and get a job. The trainers/ teachers are very knowledgeable about what they are teaching and will go to great lengths to make sure you have everything you need. They are very accommodating to needs and issues that arise throughout your course and will work with you if you miss a day. Overall I would recommend the Middlesbrough office and Optimum Skills in general to anyone looking for a chance to get an interview as you will be prepared very well for when the interview does happen as I have gotten a job because of their training

Couldn’t fault the help of these guys. I personally interacted with Andy and would recommend him and the company over and over again. Always made to feel comfortable and able to have both informal/formal chats. Always kept in the loop of what’s going on regarding your potential position and regular updates, personally i was offered my position 20 minutes after the interview and honestly couldn’t fault this team. Thanks Again!

Lynda is a great support system and always motivates me when it comes to completing my apprenticeship to the best of my ability, while not putting me under any pressure. I wouldn’t have been able to get this far with out her consistent support throughout and I am very thankful.

Currently working towards my level 3 qualification in butchery. Fran, my tutor, is very helpful as she has good industry knowledge, which has been shared with myself.
