Lovely cafe in the centre of Morpeth. Food is always lovely. It had been a while since we had been so I suggested it to mum today for lunch. The menu is plentiful with lots of specials on the boards around the cafe. It is small and can get busy in the summer they have a lovely outdoor space aswell with extra tables. Today mum had a pear walnut and Stilton salad which looked lovely and according to mum was lovely. I had a bacon & Brie toastie which was done on a thick slab of tiger bread and very substantial. The server was very helpful with my intolerances and said they would request my food with no slaw on the side as to not contaminate my food.
I have Ulcerative colitis and have to live by a low fodmap diet. I know my tolerance levels.
We then followed our lunch with a Victoria sponge cake to share which was lovely and moist and yummy. The staff are always friendly and we will be back soon.

Had the most delicious salads. Pear walnut and blue cheese for me whilst my friend had beetroot and feta cheese. Absolutely wonderful!! We had coffeed which were tasty and a piece of lemon and elderflower cake. Everything was excellent including choice, service and staff.
We would have come everyday had we found it earlier!

Oh my word what an amazing find in Morpeth! I had a pear and walnut salad with blue cheese and my friend had beetroot and feta cheese. Both of us were so impressed with the choice and quality of the food and service.
Later in the day we popped back for elderflower cake and a scone and just wished we lived closer.b

Called in for a late lunch and what a treat. A varied menu with fresh produce. Excellent service and a couple of local ladies taking a great interest in our teapot. Although it was near closing time we didn't feel rushed. Definitely recommend.

Great cafe in the centre of Morpeth, just off the main street. The scones and drinks were delicious. Plenty of seating too, inside and outside.

It's a lovely, quaint little cafe that's always got a happy atmosphere.
A great place to chat with friends over a delicious coffee and a scone and has a varied selection of sandwiches, salads, cakes and scones, etc, which are all served beautifully by friendly and efficient staff.

A lovely & unique cafe in the centre of Morpeth, delicious scones & cakes. I also love the choice of seating areas. Just like being on the Riviera and lovely staff, very friendly. I live on the riverbank in North Shields, but it's so worth the journey to Morpeth to visit the this pretty cafe.Patrica.x

We just had the best ever afternoon tea here. I can’t begin to describe how gorgeous the food was and so beautifully presented. I enjoyed every mouthful and brought quite a few bits home with me, i just couldn’t eat it all and that’s unusual for me! I would recommend this restaurant without a moment’s hesitation.

Unexpectedly very pleasant. garden seating area was lovely , probably because thankfully it was very sunny. They were fully booked for breakfast but still found a space for us, and in the prime seat :) staff were friendly (and that matters!).
Breakfast was really nice. Possibly ordered too much, but it was well presented, and cooked right.
Scones were delicious too.
Overall very much lovely relaxing bank holiday breakfast.

It's been a while since we've been but it's our default place in Morpeth for coffee and lunch or as we did today coffee and afternoon cake. Dogs are welcome in the conservatory as ours was. Delicious fare and we'd forgotten about the rustic rarebit which is absolutely fabulous. Well worth a visit. Friendly staff too.

Visited for the first time yesterday as it was recommended as being 'Dog friendly'... We sat in the conservatory bit as we had our dogs with us. We were warmly greeted, and biscuits provided for the dogs! Food was freshly made and delicious- best cheese on toast ever! Place was spotless with a lovely clean toilet! We will be back to try the cakes!
