The Wash & Tope

Stayed tonight to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and we couldn't ask for more! The staff were wonderful and friendly, the room was lovely and had all the amenities. We had dinner in the pub which was really nice and had great singer on for entertainment. We had breakfast too which was delicious. All in all a great experience and worth a stay.

If you want the Ritz then pay for the price. If you'd prefer a cheap stay in a cracking location then this offers sound value for money. Clean rooms and friendly service ; recommended.

Booked an economy room, really good. Comfortable bed, great lighting, clean,value for money. Room 11 much better than room 13. Only down side £20 extra if you want to check in a 3pm, otherwise,5.30 check in.

Lovely friendly pub, good location, bad Wi-Fi but that’s everywhere in norfolk. Lovely breakfast, lovely staff, lovely clean rooms. Sea view was nice also.

Spit and Sawdust pub/hotel, which means I loved it.
Great banter with server.
No extras apart from TVs to watch footie.
Basic pub food, but best burger I have had for a while.
Did not stay in the hotel, so no idea about that bit but wholeheartedly recommend the pub. A great evening, especially as Arsenal won 4-0 and Manure lost 3-2. 😅😅

Excellent service by friendly staff. Good choice of ales, lagers, wines and spirits too. Great garden area (with space to dance) and we watched a band play live. Fantastic atmosphere. We're going back in a couple of weeks when we're next in Hunstanton! (Didn't use the accommodation, so can't comment on rooms).

Only a 2 minute walk to the sea front, this public house is homely, warm and inviting.
A huge array of drinks to choose from at a good price. Food available all day.
Staff although busy are friendly and accommodating.
Definitely worth a visit.

Well today was my first visit.
And what a little gem of a place .
Staff absolutely so nice and friendly ' I had a lovely cool Lime and soda a whole pint for £1. and had a nice comfy seat.
Beach only 2 min walk. and my daughter' Samantha and grandson stay there when staying in Hunstanton.
They said the rooms are a good price' and you can take your dog..

That was lovely stay! We loved absolutely everything about this place. Good size of the room, nice view, very clean, everything was just perfect. The pub had a live music on Saturday which we enjoyed as well. Dog friendly. Definitely will be coming back.

The staff were really friendly, food was great especially the breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable. Perfect location. My son loved the play area which was small but attracts a lot of kids so he had a great time.

Stayed here with family got a lovely room.with a sea view for just 80 pound

Little late with the review. Ate here in the evening a couple of weeks ago. Sat outside and got treated to a wonderful venison sausage hotdog with chilli fries.Really nice landlord very chatty and helpful. Lovely pub.

We really enjoyed it here, the menu isn't massive but what they do have is really good. The pizzas are amazing and seem to be made from scratch.

There is a really nice outdoor seating area with a raised area at the back that offers a nice view of the sea.

UPDATE we revisited a year later and thankfully just a good as before though like a lot business in this sector they had some staffing issues so had to close early one night.

We absolutely have loved it here! Beautiful pub and hotel with a great atmosphere, staff are welcoming and warm, food is delicious and there's a good selection of kids meals as well.
We loved the little play area in the garden for little ones to be entertained while they wait.
Our room was fantastic, so beautiful and clean, huge windows looking right at the seafront.
Location is ideal to get onto the beach within minutes (even with a 4 year old!)
The only drawback was the WiFi being quite slow, but it was only really an issue for watching films on the tv and I suspect it's just a bad area for signal.

Very comfortable dining experience and the food was excellent. The seafood platter was particularly good value. They seemed to be running on a skeleton staff, whether by design or circumstance I'm not sure, but did they work hard and efficiently! The lady in the kitchen, on her own, did particularly well. Will definitely visit again on our next visit to the town.

Stayed here on a Saturday night after attending a local wedding. Very flexible on letting us leave our bags and collect keys early so we could get to the wedding. Rooms very clean and well presented with good facilities. Had a very good night's sleep and good breakfast. Would thoroughly recommend.

Nice pub, good welcome, nice selection of drinks. Dog friendly. Had lunch which was nice, squid, hullumi and pizza shared between us. All nicely cooked and presented.

Brilliant pub. In there for the Euro final with extended family on holiday. Lovely staff, some good beers 🍻. We sat in one of the "rooms" cheering on the women footballers. However it's not a rowdy pub at all. Mixed clientele but mainly 30's to 50's age group. A comfortable pub with professional but friendly staff. I'd return here. Location gets 4 stars for the simple reason that this place would fit better in Old Hunstanton rather than the tacky "entertainments" nearby with rusting and unloved buildings on the promenade a few hundred yards away.

Great atmosphere great singer on really enjoyed it.
