This place is crazy. The shop/ cafe side is amazing, I've never seen such a wonderful selection. Plus there are more animals free to see than some zoos I've payed to visit. Shame it's so far away but a perfect stop off for us going up to scotland

Great place to take young children. Our little one loved the play park and all the animals (tortoise was the best). The shop itself has all your typical farm shop stuff. Local meats and produces, it's not the cheapest place to shop but it's all great quality!

Came to see the sunflowers and for lunch. Sunflower field was great fun! The lunch queue was long but once you got to the front, easy to get a table and lunch was served really quickly. Ordered the Afternoon tea and the cream cakes were super yummy! Staff were friendly and helpful! Kids liked the park and animals. Would recommend!

Beautiful location, stopped on the way upto Scotland for some lunch. Was busy so thought we'd have a wait for our order but the service was very good. Lots of choice we had the burgers which were delicious. Would definitely call in again if passing.

I had passed this farm shop a few times when travelling on the A66 and so decided to stop here when travelling north and it was well worth making a slight detour! Just 5 minutes from the A1(M), it was a fantastic place to stretch the legs and get some lunch - a great alternative to a service station. Our friend's dog was with us and, whilst she wasn't allowed in the farm shop itself, there is a great covered seating area at the back where we could all sit in for lunch.
The food and drink arrived quickly and was very fresh and tasty. We had the sausage sandwich and the special of BBQ pulled pork baguette.
There's also a great selection of animals (including camels, pigs, cows and tortoises) and a fairly large play area for children.

Wow! It's been a few years since we visited here but it has developed into something very special indeed. Beautifully presented stock, lovely fresh produce, helpful staff and a gorgeous oak beamed building.

Beautiful farm shop and cafe, where you can buy great cuts of meat, cheese and other products for a very good price for high quality food. The farm with all the animals was stunning, highly recommend going after the lambs are born. Adorable.

Love this place! Always try and stop when I'm on my way home from the other coast. Its a bit pricey, like all farm shops but the produce is so super fresh and all locally sourced. Its great for getting local seasonal produce! Definitely recommend

Really excellent farmshop with loads of space for kids to play whilst adults have a nice break from driving which you can’t do on the services. Food was really great we’d definitely recommend if your passing instead of the services. We’d go again. Farm meat was great and so were the baguette sandwiches. Cakes looked really lovely I definitely want to try that next time. My son enjoyed playing on the tractor and looking at the tortoises.

Great place, loads of parking (free) and some animals to look round. Cafe was nice with separate dog friendly area. Play area and dog walking area too. All the food we purchased in the shop was nice and we also got some nice gifts. Not cheap, but really nice. Would go back in a flash 😀 (forgot to take pics only of these sauces haha)

Highly recommend! As someone who tries to only purchase grass fed meat, they make it so easy to do! We buy in bulk using the pre selected/packed meat (see photo) and we are never disappointed. To top it off, the staff are lovely and always helpful, making the trip that bit more enjoyable. Highly recommend☺

I stop here every time I drive from Glasgow to lincolnshire. It's a perfect pit stop with nice food and plenty of space to walk around in the fresh air. The animals outside are an added bonus

Lovely place to shop and eat. Always pop in en route to the Lake District. Beautiful displays of seasonal goodies, for Easter at the moment (picture) The steak pies and quiche are some of my favourites. Upstairs the shopping continues, very good quality and wide range of goods. The café is spacious and bright, good food and service. I really like the fruit meringue 😁

Great place to stop!!! We had children in the car (aged 1 to 13), adults and the dog, there was something for everyone. We enjoyed a windy dog walk around the animals, much to the delight of the kids! Then we took it in turns to look around the shop and cafe... tempted by the delights inside and grabbing take away food so that we could stay with the dog, although there is searing outside at the back.
Our only disappointment was that it was closed on our way home 🥲
Highly recommended

Outstanding. Great for kids and big kids.
Shop is well stocked, great that the staff know their products. Kids loved the animals, especially the camels and emus. Just sorry we didn't get chance to try out the cafe, boys were impatient and today was extremely busy, will be back and try the cafe as meals looked scrumptious.
