Best place between Newbury and Reading for a coffee, cake and lunch. Fish finger sandwich is a personal favourite.

Gorgeous atmosphere set by the canal with friendly staff and great food.

Gets busy when the sun is out so we recommend heading over for late lunch just before 3pm if you can hold out. Tends to be a little quieter.

Dog friendly with plenty of great walking routes nearby.

Fantastic little cafe right on the canal, with a donation to park, lovely coffee and ice creams, great looking menu. Water for dogs, lots of seating outside, a gate to the towpath and space to inflate and deflate any watercraft you might have! Really helpful and friendly staff, clean and tidy spaces and peaceful atmosphere. There is even a little hose to rinse off your paddles after exploring - this is the perfect little spot to get on the water or go for a canal side walk. Highly recommended.

This place is absolutely amazing, staff are so friendly and welcoming every time I come here. Food is so nice and made with care and my caramel iced late was one of the tastiest coffees I’ve had in a long time. In the summer ecspecially this is one of the nicest cafes in the berkshire area to come. Also right by the canal with a great walkway☀

A quaint canal side tea room which is a little gem. Can be accessed from the road or from the towpath.
Great service and good value good and drinks. The menu is small but good quality.
Another reviewer recommended the fish finger sandwich. I highly endorse that recommendation.

We're here almost weekly in the summer, either as a stop on a family bike ride along the canal or a dog walk. We only ever have drinks and cake but it always hits the spot and keeps us coming back! Always friendly service too.

We had a stop at the Tea Rooms in Aldermaston along the canal after a walk.

I had a lovely piece of cake which was very tasty and moist and a cup of tea.

The staff were very friendly and helpful!

I would recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Visited the tea rooms today, the ladies who work there are absolutely brilliant.

The food was great, my daughter has a dairy allergy and the team are knowledgable and gave me confidence that we could eat there safely.

It’s lovely and clean, we also visited the loo which had a stocked basket of feminine products. A great touch, we will be back soon.

Lived in Pangbourne for nearly 30 years and often been around Aldermaston Wharf but never visited tearoom. Current owners been running for about 1 year and visited for an afternoon tea. Food great and sat in upstairs snug. Couldn't fault service and lovely atmosphere being by the Kennet canal. Worth a visit.

Arrived just as the tea rooms were closing - the last section of our 85km bike ride. We were very kindly served takeaway teas and cakes. Thank you 😊🙏💓

A real gem in a lovely location by the Kennet and Avon tow path. The staff were very friendly and provided top-notch service. Had a very nice Mr Whippy ice cream. Will definitely be going back.

Who doesn't like a little tea shop on a sunny afternoon?
This is a lovely place, lots of seating (outdoors), after nice hour or so walking the canal, a good coffee and lovely cake was just the ticket.
