I had done a lot of research prior to visiting but was given a whole lot of fantastic advice when I visited the store. I was able to try several frames to make sure the size of my orbea e gravel bike was just right. I purchased through my company l cycle to work scheme and they did a great job of keeping me up to date with the progress of my order. On collection day I had a great experience where they took the time to explain the bike and check that the set up was correct. I have ridden the bike several times now and I am a total e-bike convert

Great experience buying from Surge. Matt and the team knew what they were talking about and let me test a couple of different options with different power motors so I could make an informed choice - something no amount of desktop research can really answer! On top of that they had a great price on a sale bike which met my needs so 10/10 from me.

Couldn't recommend this company enough. Bought a Tern Cargo bike and was supported extremely well by Matt who helped me decide on the right accessories and right bike model. I like how it feels more bespoke than just buying one straight off the website. 10% free accessories was amazing, and meant I had £500 to spend on child seats, locks, and other bits. When looking to purchase a cargo bike for our family I was initially attracted to Surge Bikes by their competitive pricing and the Surge Boost deal. Unfortunately after making a decision it turned out the model in the colour I wanted was out of stock, everywhere in the UK! After chatting to Matt on the phone and weighing up my options I decided to go with a Tern GSD S00 in black.

I am so glad I went with this specific model and more importantly with Surge Bikes. Not only was my bike delivered very fast and fully assembled, it is the aftercare that has really made them stand out. The team is always friendly and a pleasure to deal with. It's been 8 months and I have since been in for the 150 mile tune up and a repair since a bike shop local to me I used to replace my break pads completely botched the job. Surge Bikes is an hour's drive from my house but I wouldn't hesitate to make the trip any time I needed help with my bike.

Every time I have been in the shop I have received valuable advice about my bike, its maintenance and the wide range of accessories available on the market. Top class service from Matt at Surge Bikes. I thoroughly recommend them. Great attention to detail, excellent advice, responded to my many emails almost instantly and even in the evenings. You are in very safe hands buying a bike from this company. They are setting a very high standard that other companies (not just bike companies) simply don’t get close to.

I love my new bike! Thanks to Matt for his speedy email responses and great customer service. I called up a couple of times to ask questions before placing my order and had helpful responses both times. Email communication once I had placed my order was prompt and all very clear. The bike was delivered on a pallet which shows they care! I had an issue which I was quickly sent a replacement part for. I also managed to drop and crack the computer screen within a few days of having it! They sold me a replacement at a good price and sorted me out with a screen protector too.

Saw the reviews for Surge Bikes and visited the shop in early April, happy to make the hour drive down from Surrey. Would describe them as excellent. Saw Matt who discussed my requirements and type of riding I would be doing, the level of motor assistance required, range required and size of frame. After our discussion we agreed on the Haibike Trekking 6 High XXL frame size which they had the 2022 model in stock. They were happy to make up the bike and agreed time to test ride around their car park. All the controls and functions were explained in detail, future service requirements and expectation on life of the chain. Very impressed and bought bike immediately plus a small mini tool Blackburn Tradesman, a water bottle was thrown in free. Very relaxed experience no pressure to buy simply excellent professional advice, all staff I met were very friendly and good cup of fresh ground coffee gratefully received.

Awesome customer service - really helpful staff that were more than willing to assist with any query. I purchased an e-cargo bike through the Energy Savings Trust loan fund and the Surge staff assisted with the application evidence which helped speed up wait times.

The bike arrived in good condition, delivered on a pallet, and has been thoroughly enjoyed since! I chose the Tern QuickHaul which enables me to shuttle my toddler to and from nursery. A great positive of Surge Bikes is that they give you 10% of the bike value in free accessories - so useful when purchasing a cargo bike (or any others for that matter!).

Brilliant bike that comes with integrated front and back lights - the only thing I had to purchase was appropriate gear and a decent bike lock. The Bosch power pack seems great and came with lots of information and specific keys for the pack. After around 10 hours of battery use, at the first or second level of assist, only 1-2 bars have reduced so haven't had to charge it yet.

Fantastic service from start to finish. Matt was brilliant and the bike was ready earlier than I expected. When I collected the bike the guys in the store were great and really friendly and took the time to set up the bike for me and show me how the settings etc work. I'm absolutely thrilled with my Orbea Rise H15. It's perfect for me and I'll certainly recommend surge bikes to anyone.

Another Matt fan here! I’ve had an excellent experience with surge bikes and actually chose them over a different company (who I’d already paid a deposit to!) because dealing with Matt was so much easier and transparent. Matt helped me get the bike I wanted through my cycle to work scheme (vivup) and dealt with endless questions. In the end we got our Tern Quickhaul in time for the start of term. 130 miles on the clock already and the whole family loves the bike.

Amazing experience. From start to finish Surge bikes where amazing, super fast response via email with any queries I had. Hand delivered the bike and all the accessories they include which is an absolute bargain. Not only are they the only retailer I could find with any stock of the tern GSD but they also had an amazing offer on added accessories that no other retailer can match. I just wish I lived closer for getting the bike serviced!

Was very happy with Matt's customer service. He was very patient with answering multiple questions before I ended up deciding going for the Tern Vektron S10. The bike also came with a few bespoke notes from Surge about tips and tricks to avoid inadvertently damaging the bike.

Matt was great in communicating with us about what model we would need and what accessories to help our small non-profit. Surge were good at telling us what to expect for delivery, so we had volunteers ready with the right tools to complete set up. We're enjoying zipping around the Wirral to deliver our boxes and activities.

Matt went out of his way to give me sound advice on an Orbea ebike that I purchased from the North of England. The bike arrived in a timely manner all well built and lubricated where necessary, and very well packaged.

Nothing was to much trouble
On the way to the shop I decided that I want to pay a bit more for a higher spec bike
Again nothing was to much trouble they prepared the bike while I waited set up all the suspension for me and I am now a very happy owner of a rise

Matt at Surge Bikes was super helpful throughout. I bought an electric mountain bike and they took the time to make sure it was the right bike for me, right size etc, and what sort of riding I'd be doing. The delivery was really quick with no issues and the bike had been set up ready to ride. Fantastic service, highly recommend.
