Love this shop! Have many cheeses, and also other food that looks amazing to eat your cheese with! Just fell in love with the shop and the staff! Will highly recommend, and from now on I am planning to go often to buy and try different cheeses! They do have little labels for every single cheese which I love it!!!!

In April 2024 we attended a cheese and wine tasting event hosted by the owners of Pangbourne Cheese Shop. Everyone whether close or far should book themselves in for an event. It was a fantastic evening!
Our hosts were outstanding.
I came away feeling passionate about cheese too.
They cared and adapted things for us without hesitation. One of our party couldn’t make it so they wrapped up his cheese for us to take away and labelled them up for us. Our granny who is hard of hearing has a little device which allows her cochlear implant to work better in group and they took it and spoke into it so that she could hear.
The cheese was delicious and perfectly paired with the wines. And luckily they opened the shop after the evening to let us buy more of the cheese to take home!
Only advice would be access to the tasting room is up a set of stairs. There are rails so it’s accessible for most but if anyone in your group struggles with stairs this might need to be considered (especially after the wine!)

Amazing cheese selection can't fault their delivery via Royal Mail always shipped with cool bags alongside cheese, which is individually wrapped inside polystyrene box. They are always happy to help. Thank you

The best cheese shop in the area! I was impressed by how much choice they have. Also the service was impressive! It was busy but everyone was so efficient and friendly. I will definitely come back again because I’m a huge cheese lover.

The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. There is no need to feel intimidated by a lack of knowledge about cheese and cheese types, the staff will give all the help you need

We initially went for a tasting to decide on cheeses for our wedding cheese tower. Jen was so helpful and we were able to taste so many before deciding on those we wanted. In the run-up to the wedding we kept in contact via email and when our guest numbers reduced Jen was helpful in adjusting our quantity of cheese right up until just before the weddding. Jen then liaised with our Wedding caterers and delivered it to them at our venue, ready for the day so it was one less thing for us to worry about. The cheese was then served in the evening of the wedding and everyone loved it, we are still eating it now, with more in the freezer! Cheese Etc were a pleasure to deal with and we would highly recommend them!

We went to Jen and Ali at Cheese Etc for our wedding cheese tower and have nothing but truly positive things to say about the whole experience. From having the opportunity to taste different cheeses in the shop and deciding on which ones we would like in the tower, to the excellent service in delivering our tower to our venue, everything was so amazing and we really appreciated their insightful advice to help create something truly special for our day. Excellent cheese delivery service and a real treat to receive. All the cheese we ordered arrived on time, with no substitutions (even the harder-to-find cheeses such as Beauvale and Barkham Blue were present and correct).

We ordered during a heatwave, but the insulated package, ice packs and padding kept the cheese in perfect condition.

Well firstly they have a LOT of different cheeses, so you'll be spoilt for choice 😁

Needed some assistance, so described what I wanted and asked for recommendations. The lady who served me got it spot on with two truly excellent cheeses. Can't remember the names, but the slightly soft blue with the buttery overtones was just that, and absolutely delicious. Second choice was something different again. It was made by the best female cheese maker in the world, and was superb. Only wish I had got more ! Cannot rate this shop highly enough and will be back first chance

Went here for a cheese tasting session, and it was superb. The friendly owners have a genuine passion for cheese which really comes through, and they turn the evening into a great experience with their detailed explanations and personal cheese stories. If you like cheese I thoroughly recommend it as an evening very well spent.

What a treasure trove! The lovely cheese mongers are so helpful and friendly. I can absolutely recommend first hand the 'stinking bishop'.

Fantastic shop with some great local cheese. Staff are really friendly and made some great recommendations. The Barkham Blue is particularly nice.

Had a pack lunch made up on the spot. Great quality taste and variety of cheeses and the included chutney was lovely. Polished off with dried fig wheel which complimented it nicely. Customer service was great and price reasonable. Definitely recommend

Our wedding cheese tower was fantastic and loved by all. The customer service of tasting, picking and collecting the cheese is easy and welcoming. They also do a brilliant cheese and wine tasting evenings. Love it

The most wonderful cheese shop. Best cheese shop in UK in my opinion. I do not think many know more about Cheese than Jen & Ali. They provide excellent suggestions to compliment my limited cheese taste. I received a beautifully presented selection of cheeses for my sister’s birthday.

Great cheeses and service. Came away with some exceptional cheeses!

We are getting married next year and we came in to discuss the option of having a "cheese cake" at the reception. I forgot to bring a pen and paper but Chris who served us was quick to provide both for me, we discussed options and sent Chris back and forth to the scales which I felt a bit bad about but she was so friendly and couldn't help us enough. She shared things she has seen couples do before which did or didn't work and suggested and allowed us to try lots of different cheeses. She was fantastic and when we asked about package deals or discounts she suggested we call another day and speak to the manager, she took our names and said she would let the manager know we would be calling. Honestly you couldn't have a nicer, more friendly, helpful and knowledgeable person to guide you in that shop. Chris is a real credit to the company and we are so excited for our cheese!

Fabulous shop with almost overwhelming stock of cheeses, especially supporting local cheeses but plenty of excellent UK and Continental cheeses on offer. Super-friendly staff who encouraged us to try samples. Vacuum-packed our purchases for travel. Highly recommended.
