Just had an absolutely fantastic Saturday lunch. The food was sublime, local beers fantastic and the service was second to none.

We had some fantastic conversations with the chap who worked here for 23+ years, among other staff who were equally genuine and very friendly, and he offered an extra special touch for my grandfather-in-law's 93rd birthday by having a picture behind the bar! Really cannot recommend this place more, thank you for everything!

My husband and I are staying at a nearby hotel and walked to The Black Bear Inn for dinner. My husband had the steak and I had the fish and chips. We had ice cream and sticky toffee pudding. Our food was wonderful and the staff was friendly. We highly recommend The Black Bear Inn.

Very nice place with two rooms.I went in the largest room. Popped in for a beer which was very nice. Large Cotswold brick fire place at one end with two large black bears either side. Food served here. Staff were friendly. Enjoyed my visit.

Absolutely our new favourite place to eat when in the Cotswolds . A great menu , with very local and fresh choices.
The confit duck leg was delicious.

A single person lunchtime walk in, when all was busy between Christmas and New Year. From the moment I asked if they could accommodate me I was given top top service, friendly efficiency and the absolute best steak I have had in years, cooked exactly as I asked. Genuine conversations and genuine care. Completely packed with bubbling atmosphere it cheered me no end. Particularly as I was staying in a hotel same side of the road, more expensive and probably one of the worst meals and service I've had for a long time. Thank you Black Bear Inn you've nailed it!

Wonderful pub, with a nice fireplace and great service. The steak pie was fantastic as was the mushroom soup and sourdough bread. Plenty of ale to choose from. Good family spot. Highly recommend.

Amazing dog friendly pub in the village within walking distance of the Caravan and Motorhome Club site where we were staying. Delicious menu and would recommend the pies and fishcakes. Superb service (even let me change the sauce to suit my steak)and lovely atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend.

Came here for dinner after a day of shopping and we all loved it! We had the steak and ale pie and it was absolutely delicious! Their chips were so good as well and my husband loved the beer. I forgot to take a picture of the sticky toffee pudding, but it was out of this world, a must have. Saving this place in case we ever visit here again.

Everyone raves about the Steak and Ale pie and now we know why…It is the BEST! The staff seems to be one big happy family. Not sure if they are all related or not but they do have smiles and friendly attitudes in common. So god that we returned for a second night and saved room for Sticky Toffee Pudding.
