Redesdale Arms

The hotel is lovely and full of history, it’s the best in town. Our room is very clean and we were told that it’s been recently renovated. The only shortcoming is the water pressure in the bathroom is low due to it having a 17th century technology. Other than that, it’s been super comfortable and relaxing. We also ate at the restaurant. The fish & chip is delicious, the batter recipe is unique. Our stay came with free breakfast - we love the fluffy pancakes and eggs are must-try. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The hotel location is just 7 mins walk away from the train station and has a bus stop right in front of it. It’s very convenient and highly recommended !

We ate two dinners here in May. We had the vegetable spring rolls, gnocchi, and steak and ale pie. For dessert we had the apple and blackberry crumble. It was served hot with a lovely custard to pour over it. The food was delicious and the prices were reasonable.

Had such a delicious dinner here tonight. Fish & chips are excellent! Sticky toffee pudding is absolutely decadent. Service is wonderful, staff is so kind and friendly. 10/10 dinner.

On Sunday 12th May our holidaying group of 5 had an Australian Mother's Day lunch at the Redesdale Arms restaurant. We had the Sunday roast which was extremely delicious. The servings were very generous with the most amazing Yorkshire puds.
Sincere thanks to Rob and Adam who are excellent hosts and made our visit to their pub memorable. Highly recommended.

Fantastic service from the duty manageress. Bar and meals were very nice. Room clean and tidy. The shower pressure was very good. Could fault our stay . We will visit again on our way back home.

Stopped on the off chance of a table during a hot busy Saturday and was not disappointed. Firstly, the staff were super polite and attentive, cannot be faulted secondly, the food (burger in this case) was just epic ..warning, do not get a starter lol. Massive with two big onion rings to boot. Thank you. We’ll be back.

Location is really good, not far from the train station, the rooms were quiet and cozy, the fish and chips fresh and tasty. There's a bus stop just outside the hotel if you want to visit the nearby villages and it's a great starting point for a few hiking routes.

I didn’t stay here, but this was some of the best food I had in England. From the potato spinach soup, to the amazing Fish and Chips (Cotswold Batterer Cod), and the fantastic Sticky Toffee Pudding, absolutely phenomenal. If you’re in Moreton-in-Marsh, have a meal here!

Amazing staff, quaint and charming rooms. Dinner at the restaurant was fantastic! Highly recommend hotel and restaurant. I have a super quiet room in the back wing.
I'm looking forward to meals here tomorrow.

Had a delicious Sunday meal in a room with deer antler light fittings. Busy but didn't seem to have to wait too long for our delicious lamb shank to arrive.

Truly exceptional customer service; each and every member of staff made me feel welcome and valued - nothing was too much trouble. Consistent kitchen excellence eg whole kipper for breakfast (not pre-packed fillet. Historic inn, spotless, comfortable.

It was a cool market day, so we just called in for a coffee. Staff were friendly and coffee was very welcome and came with a shortbread. A must for us was it is a dog friendly pub.

Called in for a beer this afternoon. Served by very friendly professional staff. Explained this venue is our very special happy place. Phil proposed to me in the restaurant in December 2022. We visited for a meal on our honeymoon in April 2023, and today for a celebratory drink for our First Wedding Anniversary. Hoping to be back again long before our 2nd! Thank you Resedale. Just back from a weekend overnight stop at The Redesdale Arms. The hotel/bars/restaurant were all busy which speaks volumes. All staff we met were courteous, professional, yet have a personality and most importantly a sense of humour. Highly recommended hotel. The room we stayed in had clearly been subject to a recent refurbishment and was done to an excellent standard showing the owners are clearly prepared to invest in the place. Our evening meal was delightful and such a nice variety on the menu, could have had one of everything! Even the custard on my crumble was heated to 64degrees Celsius, perfection! ;) Thanks guys

Last minute booking and a bargain.
I found the staff to be welcoming and friendly. The room was ideal and the cooked breakfast was delicious, particularly the very tasty bacon.

The staff is nice and helpful. The room is comfortable and clean. The food (lamb shank) I took at the restaurant was tasty.

I didn't stay there but my friends said its was lovely and famous people stay so can't be bad xx

We only had Sunday lunch, so I can not honestly say about rooms . All the staff were friendly and very helpful. The food was delicious and well presented. The bar we chose to eat was clean with a good ambience. We were offered a lovely dining room. You could book. We walked in. They also catered for my intolerance to dairy . All food intolerance catered for. I would recommend this establishment for a lovely meal or just a drink.
