The Kings Arms, Chipping Norton

Lovely pub, wasn't too noisy, had a really nice feeling to it.
TVs were showing some sports and the jukebox was playing fairly neutral popular music from the previous decades.
Dart boards and a pool table.
Decor quite basic, with wooden features and decent lighting.
Toilets were clean and fairly well maintained.
No real views to write home about, but could sit next to the windows and watch the world go by.

Popped in for a drink before we went to our booked meal & came back after the meal for another drink, very friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere

I cannot comment on the accommodation as we are not staying at the Kings Arms now. However, if their customer service is anything to go by, if we ever need to stay in Chipping Norton, I would recommend it based on chatting to the Manager about a possible booking. Thank you very much, lovely lovely lady.

Had a fair few drinks in here the other night, great atmosphere with the open mic night music in the background and chats with Bridget and the locals, we'll definitely be back if we return to Chipping Norton

Excellent place to stay. There is no breakfast included but just across the street you can have a feast! The land lady (don't remember her name) was extremely pleasant, we had a great conversation and she was very knowledgeable about the area. We had a great room with a patio out front, facing the terrace. Very good experience. Would definitely recommend! Can't wait to go back!

A great real pub made even better by the warm welcome from the landlady. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Although the King's Arms didn't serve food, breakfast was no problem as there was an excellent bistro just across the road that served a huge full English breakfast and other meals. The bedroom was charming with wooden beams spanning the ceiling but there were also the modern amenities that had been sympathetically incorporated. Don't miss this little jewel.

Friendly, good food and atmosphere.
Didn't stay overnight so unable to rate rooms.

I would stay here again. The people are lovely. Yes it's a bit old, no there isn't A/C, the mattress is good, the bathroom small, BUT it's clean, the location is absolutely excellent, the people are awesome, and we had a blast. Chipping Norton may not be for everyone but for us it was honest good people in a beautiful location who treat you very nicely. Local restraints like the Fox and the Blue Boar we're excellent and the bistro across the street has excellent coffee and amazing breakfasts.
Arknell Hurricane is my favorite beverage.

Rooms were mostly clean.
No shower, only a bath was available.
The light above the bathroom mirror didn't work, only flickered and the mainlight in the bathroom was not great.
Beds were ok.
Walls are paperthin so you could here the neighbouring rooms very well.
Some cobwebs around the lights.

Car park was very small and already full, so we had to park 5min away on foot.

Service was friendly.
Be aware, no food is being served.
But enough options are nearby.

All in all, not a bad inn and we had a good nights rest.

Decent big sized room that was clean and comfortable. Overall satisfied. Value for money.

Originally booked two nights, but we were having such a great time that we stayed an extra night! The landlady, "the best landlord in Chippy" is brilliant. All the locals we met made us feel really welcome. Only 4 spaces in the car park, which is pretty tight and awkward to get into, but there are two long stay car parks within walking distance. New Street Car Park has cameras and EV chargers. Our bed was comfy, and extra browny points for the room being warm all night. Plenty of tea, coffee and milk. Towels were big and fluffy. The only place in Chipping Norton serving Kaleb's cider, which is a top drop!! We really didn't want to leave and can't wait to return.

Friendly staff and very helpful when required. Very reasonably priced and a great place to stay. I would prefer my bed to be a little comfier but I suppose we all get used to our own beds.
Room was ensuite and well stocked with tea / coffee, kettle, TV.
No complaints and glad to recommend

Absolutely Superb, Brilliant service. Rooms are absolutely Beautiful and are perfect for a large family. It’s lovely with and old Design and modern look with a beer garden too. A great place to visit for a drink and a stay too. Thank you to the staff that too so much care of us it means a lot. The Pizzas were delicious after spending the day at a Boiling RIAT. Thanks again!

Where do I start! We decided we wanted a mini adventure ending 2022 so booked up The Kings Arms for NYE. What a lovely find, the pub is very well kept with lots of seating, plenty to drink and friendly staff. The landlady, Bridgette filled us in on the history of the area and places to visit. Our room, room 11 was traditional with beams and stone walls, very warm and cosy and comfortable. Parking on-site with lots to see and do in surrounding areas.
We'll be back in the summer and plan to stay here again.

Set right on the river front this is a lovely pub to watch the world go!

The landlady was very kind and helpful, the room was perfect for what we needed (rm 14 family room - note no shower). The kids were happy. All the staff were really kind & helpful and went above and beyond for us. Location was ideal for Fairford. We booked again we were so taken with the place.
