Blea Water

What a beautiful place.. was there early in the morning coming from Small Water. There is a small path (more likely printed by the walkers rather than the actual one). Easy walk. Took around 1.3h to get there as I kept wondering around like a child.

Got to get there early if you want to get in the car park! Walks are really good and if you fancy a challenge go in the winter. We will be going back in the summer with the paddle boards and kayaks

Austere but impressive, at 207 feet deep Blea Water (a tarn in all but name) is a geological misfit. Tarns this size rarely go down more than 50 to 100 feet and only Windermere and Wastwater are deeper.

Delightful

Piękny staw. Woda przejrzysta, idealna do pływania. Otoczony górami co daje oszałamiające wrażenie. Nie jest często odwiedzany więc możesz go mieć tylko dla siebie podczas wędrówki.

Challenging to get to - the path from Haweswater resevoir dissapears several times and it is generally quite boggy on the way up, but it's a lovely serene area once there and somewhere that possibly lends itself to a swim (if not too cold and if its allowed?). Be aware, there's a sort of embankment most of the way around the body of water, so if you did want to get in you'd be better doing so from near the outlet flow.
