Lovely little hotel in clovelly. The rooms were lovely we were lucky to have a sea view .the staff were very helpful and provided us with everything we needed .
The breakfast was lovely and evening meal was as you would expect for a pub restaurant. Would definitely recommend a stay here

This is the most perfect location. The hotel was clean and tidy. The team were friendly and helpful. The cream tea was outstanding. Just a note to let others booking under travelzoo know that when they say ‘welcome bottle of Prosecco’ - that means two of the small ‘one glass’ bottles.

Lovely location and beautiful village. Our bedroom is ok but the bed is far too small. Definitely come again.

Stayed overnight and had dinner at Clovely New Inn. The buildings and decor were rustic, the food was great, particularly dinner which was excellent. The highlight were the staff though. They were so kind even though it was busy and special shout out to Rich who was particularly kind- thanks again all!

Great historic hotels and location. Room 1 was large and quiet though in s light sleeper and could hear the guest above walk around. There is plenty of choice for breakfast and i recommend tracks 3 but the front windows looking out on the street.

The restaurant in the pub was really good value. I had lobster with chips and salsa for £25 and i was full. I'm a big eater so that's saying something.

Apart from this staying at the hotel allows you to explore Clovelly after the tourists have gone to get a feel of the real Clovelly. I recall a sweet girl and her friend trekking me to be careful with strong a fluffy black cat as it could scratch. Then heading down towards the harbour watching the teenagers jumping off the harbour wall. I look forward to staying again.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The staff are all lovely and friendly. The breakfasts were really good, choose what you want and quick service. The belly pork for dinner was the best ever and there was lots of fish choices, as you'd expect. The dining room had a lovely ambience, and again the waitresses work really hard looking after you. We had a lovely sea view over the rooftops from our room. Shower was hot but slow, bear in mind this is an old building. Everything else was perfect.

Stopped for a cream tea on the way back up from the harbour and I was very impressed with the service and food. The scones were freshly baked on the day and there were 2 per cream tea which is excellent value. Very tasty food and very friendly staff. Good selection of food and drink as well.

Lovely two night stay whilst walking the coast path. The hotel is what it is, a very old building and some of the fixtures and fittings are a bit old fashioned. However the room was spotless and had everything you could want. All the staff were absolutely exemplary, friendly and helpful. The bar with its roaring fire was especially welcoming in the February evening. It is in the centre of Clovelly so be aware that getting in and out will involve some hard walking up and down steep cobbled streets; all part of the adventure!

The owner and staff were so accommodating and ensured that our stay was perfect. My wife can be very fussy but anything she asked for was provided and they even lent us their microwave to heat up our lunch at midnight so it didn't spoil.
Lovely room and very comfy beds in an excellent location. Once the crowds have gone home you have the village to yourself and can get some great photos on a nice evening, the breakfast was excellent also! This was our second stay here and we will definitely be staying again in the future, would definitely recommend

Lovely rustic iconic hotel in keeping with the rest of the village. Evening meals were excellent and in keeping with competition price wise. Full English breakfast was also very good. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We both really enjoyed our 2 night stay, and so did our dog, in what is a traditional dog friendly and people friendly hotel.

Clovelly is well worth a visit however you have to be relatively fit as not just steep but extremely steep but amazing views , beautiful historical buildings and takes you back in time.
The New Inn is a great base with good bedrooms not huge but sufficient space and facilities. Fantastic breakfast and a varied evening menu and a bar with local gins.

Atmospheric!. My room (8) has a large ensuite bath. A long sick after a days hiking the coastal path is a joy.

I walked to the hotel from the Clovelly village car park, carrying a backpack. The pebble walkway is a free foot massage and tests your ankle strength!

This is not a 5 star luxury hotel, it is authentic atmosphere with modern comforts (central heating, comfortable bed).

The staff are outstanding, friendly helpful, everything you'd want from hosts.

Not 5 stars for service because
No room service.
The room wasn't restocked with drinks after my first night.

We stayed for 2 nights at the 'New' New Inn. Had a wonderful meal the first night we were there, great local seafood and desserts were great. Definitely good value for money considering the unique location. Rooms clearly recently refurbished, and nice soft comfy bed.

Can't fault the owners and staff, friendly and genuinely interested in what you're up to whilst there, and happy to give guidance and help.

Would highly recommend a stay whilst in Clovelly, as it changes after everyone goes home for the day.

Wow, we just took a chance if there was a vacancy in this picturesque Old fishing village, Clovelley, we're lucky they have one room left in their dorm type, shared bathroom (more than what we need really). The food is amazing, we're glad we walked down to see the Village.... We're walking Lands End to John O' Groats

We had an absolutely fantastic weekend away here. The location is unbelievably beautiful and tranquil. Our room was spacious, cozy, and clean. The food was excellent. But most of all, the staff were incredibly friendly, accommodating, and all around fantastic - really made our holiday. I thoroughly recommend staying here.

Great pub in an amazing location. Both food and drinks are great, locally sourced and freshly prepared. It's not run by the estate and brings a breath of fresh air. Thoroughly recommended

There can be hundreds of people visiting Clovelly during the day-so decided on staying at the New Inn for a couple of days…what a great choice!! Clovelly is very quiet before & after the crowds-What FABULOUS picture opportunities!!
The New Inn is so very full of charm & warmth.
Great staff…friendly & welcoming!
Breakfast was absolutely wonderful-was able to get exactly what we wanted, made to order.
Dinner just as good, I’m not usually into Fish n Chips….but am now converted, was delicious!
The dinner menus change on a daily-according to the freshest ingredients available.
The room we had overlooked the beer garden and a couple of homes-pretty outlook!!
After a walk “downalong” & back “upalong” the bed was a wonderful place to be!!! Crazy comfy!
The only thing to hear at night was an owl or 2!!
We will most definitely return….but will request the ocean view…I’m sure it’s incredible!!

Spent a lovely in Clovelly as a volunteer looking after the donkeys. Found this treasure of a place. Every member of staff were so welcoming making me feel like a local instantly. And to top it all the food was excellent every time.

We have visited Clovelly before but never booked a hotel, tryed to book another hotel for this visit but our date was not available and I'm glad to say the new inn was available, the staff are so friendly and helpful.
We were lucky enough to have a sea view which was fantastic, the room was spotless.
We had an evening meal and we must say it was also very good.
We would definitely return and would recommend the new inn.
Just make sure you wear suitable foot wear for the cobbled streets.
A massive thankyou to the owner and all the staff.
