Philham Holiday Lets

Philham has been the perfect place to stay while completing the next leg of the South West Coast Path. We were a party of four, two couples and a dog, and the house was warm, spacious, clean and comfortable. The hot showers and a bath were very welcome after a full day’s walking, especially when it rained! Kris was very welcoming and the homemade scones were much appreciated.

Great few days staying at the Parlour in Philham. 6 of us stayed in the cottage (3 couples + dog) the place was amazing. Rooms are massive and each has its own bathroom. Kitchen was well equipped, and really social the way the kitchen, dinning and lounge wrap around makes it good for groups and families. Kristen was a great host, the scones were a nice treat on arrival. There was a large paddock over the road which the dog loved. Really nice area, Hartland is a lovely village and some excellent walks in the area

We stayed in the Holiday Cottage and this was furnished to an exceptionally high standard. Our hosts Mark and Lorraine were extremely welcoming. We would recommend a stay here and it is in an excellent area for walking and near the coast. Family members have also stayed in the B&B rooms in the house and were equally impressed with the standard and welcome given.

My mum and I stayed in this lovely Airbnb in Philam while property hunting in Hartland.
The b&b is run by Mark and his wife Lorraine. They are very lovely, welcoming hosts who clearly put a lot of attention into the running of their b&b.

The rooms themselves are clean and tidy when you arrive, and you have all the necessary items that you may need e.g towels as you would expect. The bathroom is also modern and clean with a very large and easy to use shower. My only suggestion for improvement would be some sort of extractor fan in the bathroom as after a shower it can get very steamy and wet.
We had some problems with the WiFi, however they found out the cause of the problem - while there is no signal in the b&b, you do have WiFi and a TV. They now also accept card payments as well as cash and cheque.

The breakfast is cooked to order and is wonderful. They have their own free range eggs and the English breakfast is incredibly tasty and has everything you would expect. They also offer a variety of cereals and jam/marmalade - some fruit on offer would be a nice addition.

My only suggestion/criticisms would be that we felt slightly time pressured to leave the room early and have breakfast at such an early time when it was actually unnecessary. We were expecting breakfast to be more between the hours of 8-10:30am and be able to leave the room at 11am instead of the slightly earlier times set out.
All in all though it's a great B&B with nice owners and clean rooms as well as a fantastic breakfast. If you need somewhere to stay near Hartland for a couple of nights I would highly recommend it.

Outstanding BnB. Beautiful area warm and welcoming hosts. Room spotless with large bath to relax in or an amazing shower to refresh after all your activities. Breakfast cooked fresh to order very tasty 5 star

Wifi sketchie but not what we had come for, just a natural result of farmhouse walls.

Thank you for a wonderful week at The Parlour at Philham House.. if your looking for a relaxing stay look no further! The scones, cream and jam were a lovely touch and we enjoyed the fire this week.. There are some great places to visit, Appledor, Instow, Clovelley and Bude we even took a day trip down to Port Issac and Rock We look forward to coming back one day and staying when we have a larger family

Really lovely setting, well equipped accommodation. We made full use of the log fire in the evenings after days our to easily accessible activities. Would definitely visit again.

we have just returned from a 2 week stay at the Holiday cottage run by Mark and Lorraine.
We have stayed in a number of cottages during our holidays in the uk, and this is the best accomodation we have stayed in.
the cottage was exceptionally comfortable and spotlessly clean there is everything you could need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
The location of the cottage is perfect for exploring the wonderful Devon scenary and coast line

Just arrived back from a very relaxing stay at the Philham Parlour Cottage. Everything exceeded our expectations. The location, quality and size of the cottage and the hosts couldn’t have been any better. We will certainly be booking this cottage again.

The B&B is situated in a really nice area. The host were very friendly. We had an awesome breakfast a good start for the busy day. I reccomend it everyone.

Lovely quiet spot with wonderful hosts. Excellent clean and spacious accommodation. Very handy for the coast.

Oh my goodness,, what a beautiful restful place to stay. In the holiday let next to the b and b House. Spacious, clean everything you could need is provided and more!
