Popped in for a quick tea. Had the China Rose, very nice tea. Had a bit of carrot cake too which was very nice. Staff are friendly and seem very nice. Well worth a visit for a good selection of teas and other drinks.

What a lovely little tearoom.
We stopped by for a good cuppa and a snack and we were not disappointed. I had pulled pork and cheese bap and it was delicious. I'm going back again today, hoping it's still on the menu! The tearoom is so lovely and snug and very nice coffee too! Even a little smile was on my cappuccino dusting.

Dog friendly - a selection of sauces available. Lovely little tea room in the centre of Hawkshead. Lovely staff and great local food. Gets busy around lunch time with only tables of 4.

I absolutely love this place ❤. We visited a couple of years ago and spoke to the owner. She said she had come from near where we did and was a nurse and it was her dream to open a cafe. Made me really happy as my grandmother was a nurse and it was her dream to open a cafe ❤.

Anyway we returned yesterday and pleased to say the place was as lovely as we remembered. Lovely service, loved my loose leaf tea, other half enjoyed his quiche and my borrowdale tea loaf was delicious! Will always visit when I come to Hawkshead

Stopped in for a coffee to go before a walk.
Best flat white I have had in the area. Super friendly service, lovely cafe and brilliant little gem in the heart of Hawkshead. Will be coming back again to try more from the menu

Really enjoyed our coffees , teas, cakes and scones and the welcome we received from the owners. Also the birthday sparkles on our cakes after the owners heard that it was a couple of our groups birthdays. Such a lovely touch.|
Great that they are dog friendly too. Well worth a visit.

Popped in for a coffee yesterday & what a delight. Lovely brew & I consumed my first ever lemon & blueberry scone. OMG, if I had realised for one second how delicious they were I would have bought a truck load. Super Service, spotlessly clean & good observance of covid precautions. I can heartily recommend it.

Excellent tea for two served in a large tea pot made from proper leaf tea. We had home made tea bread and a scone with jam and cream. The cream was clotted cream! Delightful with lovely friendly service too.

Would definitely recommend Minstrels tearooms when visiting Hawkshead. I had a hot roll with homemade falafel & salad .. 💯 so tasty! My husband had a delicious ham and cheese toastie and homemade cakes too. Lovely!

Lovely place, very friendly staff, excellent toasted sandwiches and accepting of our use of masks and sitting outside in rain to avoid covid.

Really nice spot for afternoon tea. The savoury one is amazing, and all the options I saw looked fantastic. The staff are really friendly and it’s a great place to stop for a breather. Highly recommended.

Since my last visit in 2018, the Minstrel's Gallery appears to be under new ownership and has undergone a major interior revamp.
The present staff have not dropped the ball. Food and service were excellent and the ambience unspoiled compared to how I remember it.
