Rogue Bros The Boat House

It was my first visit to the Boat Houses in South Queensferry, just outside Edinburgh, and I had an incredible meal. The food was splendid, the view spectacular, and the service top-notch. The overall price was reasonable as well. I truly enjoyed my time there.

A special shout out to Jade for her outstanding customer service. She made my visit even more enjoyable!

Wow. What superb staff and food. We got what seemed the best seat in the restaurant with a fantastic view of the Forth Bridge and small beach. All our servers were attentive and friendly and really seemed to enjoy their job. The food was brilliant and my sole with anchovies and capers delicious. So fresh it slipped off the bone. Best place I have been to in Queensferry.

Absolutely 100% the best views in Edinburgh. You will not get an experience like this. Amazing staff, extremely friendly, helpful & chatty. Food was divine. Even my gluten free and alcohol free requirements were NO hassle at all. I was made a delicious mocktail just based on what flavours I told the waitress I liked!!!! No photos of the incredible food or drinks as we were too busy enjoying but see what I mean about the view!!!!!!! Highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

All the food was perfect! Why does Scotland tap water taste better than most bottled water? I had the brie, truffle fries, lamb & cabbage in dark gravy which was the best lamb I've ever tasted in my life.

We had a fantastic day and evening here, it was my daughters 18th. We hired the private dining area, can't thank the staff enough. The food was excellent, everyone had a great day. Thanks to the Rogue Bros and the Boathouse team. Would highly recommend the Boathouse for a private dining event.

A must try when in South Queensferry. Service and atmosphere both spot on. We had plaice and skate wing, they were insanely delicious.

Fantastic view- reasonable prices for the quality and taste of the food. Atmosphere was calm and pleasant.

Salmon risotto- very well seasoned, creamy, and delicious fresh salmon
Pork-belly with seasonal veggies was also very juicy and well seasoned.

Not as many vegetarian options as one would hope, however there was some.

Would definitely recommend and planning to go back.

Sunday the 19th June our first time in this fantastic restaurant. The food was amazing starters, mains and cheese board the lot , delicious. Thanks to the truly lovely staff our Brazilian waitress Diane and waiter Cameron they totally made our day lots of fun great service. We loved it here and will definitely be back 💕✔🥂

Menu isn’t run of the mill by any stretch, it is imaginative yet well considered. A real mix of dishes for everyone. Calamari is 5⭐ by itself

We have been several times now since the rouge bros take over and cannot recommend highly enough.

The food is excellent, the menu is changed regularly and accompanied with great cocktails and quality/reasonably priced wine list.

The service is incredible, no matter who is serving you can guarantee them to be personable and attentive, remembering small details from one visit to next.

If you are in town on a Sunday, the roast is a must!

We went here for our Valentines meal, gorgeous food and great seasonal menu! They handed out a rose to every table which was a nice touch. Staff were really friendly, seemed really enthusiastic and excited about all their plans for the venue! Decor could do with a bit of a refresh but sure it’ll all happen in time! Most important thing is the food which was brilliant! 👏🏼 possibly would be nice to see more fish dishes on the menu / and maybe a dietary requirement key but personal preference.

Lovely afternoon on the outside terrace, stunning views over the water and of the bridges the food was wonderful, I had the mussels and my wife had the Nachos. Also had coffee and beer and wine later on. All staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming, they were also very understanding of the fact we had our dog Molly with us. She’s quite an anxious dog and not used to meeting other people, but they came to see her and some spent time making her feel welcome and safe.

The food here is absolutely delicious. The flavours of the dishes we had were just so lovely and will definitely go back for more. The service was absolutely brilliant especially Emily. Such a lovely atmosphere as well as the choice to eat inside or outside.

Stunning location and views, great service, decent (but not remarkable) food. The food is nice - a few dishes were very good - but portions aren't huge for price. That said, given the location, this is well worth a shot.

What a lovely lunch. A great table, looking out at a panoramic view of the three bridges, as well as the harbour. There is also seating outside, but it was a little too windy today (late March)

The three course meal we had was top quality. Well presented and off good proportions. Service was quick and friendly. No hovering, just aware of where we were in the meal. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Both for the location, quality of food, and service. I wish I had taken pictures of the food... enjoying it so much I forgot to.

For a wee while now I have wanted to visit the Boat House but never had the chance so luckily for us we had some time. It was Wednesday and it just opened. We had two latte's first,then I had the fish and chips and my wife had the brushetta starter and the goats cheese starter. All our food was good and plentiful,we also had a bowl of vegetables cooked perfectly.A glass of wine was chosen for my wife Which she adored. Staff were very friendly and professional. Toilet's we're clean and modern. The views are fantastic and you would expect this to reflect in the price but obviously not. Highly recommend this place.👍

Outstanding evening on 14th July, food was creative and delicious, staff were relaxed, helpful and friendly, great views and price was £38 pp including cocktails, wine, prawns calamari scallops and steak. Can’t wait to go back.

We had a fantastic meal at the boat house, now owned and managed by the team from Rogue Bros.

The food was delicious, and the staff were attentive and friendly. Pricing was very fair for the quality of the food being served.

The views over the forth are an added bonus.

Will be back regularly, and advise all locals to go and support the new owners.
