The George Vaults

Yes they have Sunday roast available in April (unlike other places in Rochester…). I am very glad they did, mixed roast covers all the bases and prepared excellent. As a bonus they had live entertainment and he was as good as the restaurant…excellent.

Out on a stroll and call in for lunch, delighted to say the least. Welcoming and stylish athemospher, tasty menu for all appetites. Will be back again ;)

Excellent Sunday roast in a lovely atmosphere! My experience at the George Vaults is something that I want to suggest to those who decide to spend a day in this lovely town not far from London.
I ordered the Sunday roast Tris to taste all types of roasts available with the option of dairy-free! The dish was well-presented and delicious!

Great place to eat drink and be sociable. Delighted to see they offer breakfast menus, very good value too. , bit difficult for wheelchair access at main entrance and to get to garden would need to access down side of building, on checking with staff happy to open side gate to allow access. Garden is airy and spacious very pleasant to relax. Staff polite and attentive.

Was booked into the vaults room at 1pm, arrived early and was escorted to the nice, warm, relaxing marquee and had a nice glass of wine before our scheduled afternoon tea. Excellent service and plentiful food.

From start to finish, this place is nothing short of a 5 star rating. The staff are welcoming and the atmosphere is relaxing. Their food was delicious . served timely..the portion sizes are just right!! To top it all off , you dont have to break your bank account to eat here. Its reasonably priced .Very clean and tidy place to dine and relax . I highly recommend a visit.

The food and serving was exceptional, kids menu was wonderful unique, the garden is absolutely gorgeous and it had an amazing, homy, atmosphere. Would 100% recommend to go and enjoy yourself, your friends and family together.
This place deserves a much higher rating.

Loved everything in here. The food was delicious. I had duck breast and apple and summer fruit crumble.
The atmosphere is lovely, the music is very moving and you want to dance all the time 😂🎶

Forget the tourist theming and the lounge area. Sure, do take a look at the 14th Century vault, take a breath of musky air and admire the moody lighting. The one thing you must do is grab a seat in the relaxed back yard and order anything from the menu. You will not be disappointed; the food is excellent: presented beautifully, full of interesting flavours and prepared with care.

Carnitas wrap, halloumi fries, crispy squid & prawn on toast are definitely worth a taste. Yum

Used for a business meeting, we were able to use the garden more the majority but we also had a conference area available.

Popped in for a couple on Saturday, although no room outside it was a very nice place and the service was quick and professional.

Friendly staff, reasonable prices, nice atmosphere. The seats at the front are amazing for people watching.

Been a few times. Ticks all the boxes. The lady host at the door is fab and always finds us room in the garden.

Nice atmosphere and very friendly attentive staff,nice cosy place , comfortable seats, I wasn't that keen on my meal but that's probably a personal thing ,if I had ordered something different then I may of liked it more ,had a good experience overall.

We visited for a Christmas get together for work and the staff were amazing, the food was scrumptious and the the decorations were next level.

Would definitely visit again if I was in the area.

Lovely busy wine bar with plenty of beer choices. Nice atmosphere clean and plush.

Thank you Carla and team for making our wedding day so special last Friday. Carla was patient when i was bombarding her with emails and put our minds at rest each time we spoke. On the day her team set up the venue beautifully both for the service and the reception. We couldn't have asked for more. Defo recommend George Vaults if you are considering an event. Mr & Mrs Browne
