Another amazing national trust venue! We got to the car park nice and early and there were lots of spaces available. Free parking for national trust members.

On-site toilets which were very clean and some tea rooms.

A long walk with steps to see the main waterfall, but you can keep going up yo the cascades or again up to a smaller waterfall, but it's very peaceful!

Lovely, short walk up hill, on well made paths, through beautiful woodland to a series of spectacular waterfalls. The main fall is undoubtedly the best in the Lake District.

Lovely place - a fairly easy walk to the falls. Many steps and uneven terrain. Easy enough for all ages. Plenty of rest stops to catch your breath if needed. Lovely little cafe by the car park. Friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Free entry!! That's unbelievable for such a beautiful place and a National trust property!!
The walk around the forest is picture perfect and being next to the stream is super calming.
The waterfalls are impressive to be up close to with excellent viewing points scattered around.
There are several areas where people were paddling and having a wonderful time in the water and many areas where it's possible to have a picnic next to the stream.
The National trust cafe at the start / end of the trail offers refreshments and wonderful cream teas.
All in all this is a wonderful place to visit and a beautiful place to walk around.

Stunning location, very well maintained. Parking is free for National Trust members, but make sure you've got your card as you need to scan it for a ticket at the prepayment machines. Various routes signposted up and down. You can continue at the top to Gowbarrow Fell which is around 481m high and well worth the extra hike for the stunning views.

A great place to have a walk around William Wordsworth's sources of inspiration for his poetry! The family chose to walk around some time in the afternoon, and we ended up finishing our walk by evening, just in time to watch the sunset over the mountains!

Walked on the longer path, and was fine by the end - coming from a family who are not natural hikers. Path was circular so you don't have to do a sudden U-turn, and was able to see everything available. Beautiful overall!!

The first half of the trail are full of beautiful waterfalls, with the help of sunlight water bubbles are shining like pearls. The other half combined with pine tree woods and fantastic lake views. We arrived the car park around half past nine, the positions are enough. Car park is convenient with toilets. There is also a tap providing potable water.

Very nice place. And free to entry! ! That's big surprise in National Trust. Parking quite expensive - £3 per hour on 2hr parking. But you don't have choice as it's no other parking place around. To visit 3 waterfalls you need min 2hr at list.

There's plenty of parking if you arrive early enough and toilets and an information centre in the car park. There is no charge to visit the falls, but the car park costs £8.50 if you are not a National Trust member. This is very reasonable considering the well- maintained paths and the newly built viewing platform. There is a National Trust cafe near the car park and it served the usually high standard scone, jam and cream. There are quite a few paths going up the valley, but if you are visiting all three falls, I would recommend the right hand path all the way up to the top as it is more of a steady climb. We then walked down another path, starting with the Cascades, then High Force, and finally, the very impressive Aira Force.

Not too difficult a walk and we'll worth the visit. Continuing to High Force is a must if you can. Unless you are a National Trust member (free) the parking is App only and quite expensive. No cash. No card. Cafe is nice.

A must see when visiting the Lake District.
Dog friendly.
We parked at National Trust car park We paid £5 for two hours but there are other car parks around Ullswater.
It was beautiful to see. One of the viewing points was closed due to a fallen tree but this did not ruin the view plenty more places to see the waterfalls.
Make sure you wear suitable clothing and shoes when exploring the waterfalls.

Took a ferry across Ullswater to Airaforce waterfalls. You can drive there too, but ferry was a good choice as fab views. We booked ferry in advance on line. Just stunning and well worth the walk up the falls. Just stop and take in the views along the route. You can as little or as far as you like. Check ferry times for returning back. Listen out for RAF Euro Fighters, RAF Osprey and Hercules flying low across Ullswater.

This is a lovely spot to just spend a couple of hours meandering up and down the hill admiring some beautiful waterfalls. Very leisurely walking, lots of great views.

Visited on a raining day with 24mph winds. The waterfall trail was very beautiful. There seemed to be a lot of water to the point of flooding some viewing platforms. The short circular trail around the falls are very manageable even for beginners. Terrain was slippery in places but not dangerous despite the rain.

We attempted the gowbarrow trail and ended having to turn back it was too wet , slippery (slush and ice) and dangerous. The trail on the waterfall side is more covered and we could not manage the rest of the ascent with such strong winds on the exposed side.

Overall, very enjoyable walk despite the weather. Highly recommend.

You would think the best time.e to ho would be when it's dry... not true. It was raining heavily when we went earlier today. I turned out to be the best time to go. The heavy rain meant the falls were over fleeing with water and made for a good spectacle.

We arrive about 11:30, there were about 40 cars in the car park. The parking is £4 fir upto 2 hrs. You won't need more than this to get to three waterfall and back. Because of the heavy rain we were ip and down in just over an hour.

The trails up and down are well marked and there is little chance of getting lost. The staff were very friendly and provided clear directions.

The site has toilet facilities, very wet the day we went, and there is a cafe where you can get hot and cold drinks as well as food. They so serve breakfast. The path to the cafe is not very well marked. The path is just to the side of the toilet

Across the road from the cafe is a gate which takes you to the jetty and banks of the Ullswater lake. Again because of the weather there was no services on the day.

A really good few hours out. I would definately recommend a visit.

Just be warned the phone signal is non existent in this area

A perfect place to visit with some amazing views, the waterfalls are almost Tolkien with their fantasy feel...

Top tips if your here in the hols;
- The carpark packs out EARLY
- The national trust tea shop is awesome (has about 8 covers inside), the bacon / sausage hot breakfast snack is often sold out by 10:30am
- it can be mildly slippy around the falls in the wet, if you have young ones wellies would really help

There are a couple of great walks that start from here, the OS maps have one marked the Happy Hiker lasting 2 hours 40 mins circling the area and providing awesome views...

Love this place, beautiful whatever the weather under the canopy of the trees. I have painted there many times. Wander down to the shore to see a beautiful view across the lake towards Patterdale. Great coffee shop too!

This place is marvelous. You really feel closer to nature here with all of the pathways carving through the hillsides. You get lovely views of the surrounding areas at higher elevations, lovely views of the stream and it's accompanied by the sound of the monumental flow of water! Epic scenes.

It's a really well kept place, the national trust do a great job here. There's a nice little Cafe next to the car park.

The lower but by the river is accessible for buggys and wheel chairs but after that it's quite steep. Worth the effort, obviously a little more spectacular in wetter weather.
