A great little shop - well maybe not so little! It has lots of extra rooms apart from the 'front window' which are filled with all sorts of interesting and useful items, from cards to antiques to gardening supplies. Nigel's favourite part of the store is of course their extensive range of bottled ales. He love's his Nelson's Bitter and local tipple Brancaster Best. This is a great find and just up the road from the Gin Trap Inn and ward's Nurseries so make a date to visit Ringstead village soon!

Stayed opposite this little gem
Fantastic little store, great prices family owned with traditional service, nothing to much trouble. Home baked bread and croissants to die for. Great range of products bonus being huge range of bottled Norfolk ales.

Highly recommended

Footnote bread so good we had to bring one home with us

After calling into your lovely shop on the off chance that you would sell a dog brush as our cocker spaniel,George was absolutely covered in sticky buds from a walk we had just been on. Instead of letting me purchase one you very kindly let us borrow your own dog brush. Extremely kind of you, and thank you too to Mabel for letting George borrow your brush!

A lovely local shop with locally sourced products at great value prices. The owners are lovely and gave us a feeling that our custom was valued, a rare thing these days! Add a locally brewed selection of beers and spirits and a locally sourced treasure trove of collectable items and one off house proud goodies and you leave the shop thinking 'I'm definitely going back'

Popped in during our holiday for a couple of essential items. This store is an absolute wonderland! Everything you need surrounded by everything you want! As well as shopping essentials, there are cards, gifts - some locally made - basic hardware and gardening needs and a cellar full of collectables. Nothing is over priced and the layout itself takes you through each department which is both clever and wonderful! Hot drinks available too! This store is perfect - evocative of days gone by and also bang up to date, catering for ever changing and evolving dietary needs too! Well worth a visit and it actually brought a lump to my throat! Long may it survive!
Ps, Leah is LOVELY! Tx

This place really is a hidden treasure. So much more than a collectables shop. You pull up outside what appears to be the General Store for the village but what a surprise when you enter the shop. A brilliant collection of rooms and cellar with all types of knicknacks and collectables at really affordable prices, something for everyone. Then you have the general store, stocking local products including cheese, ciders, ales, herbs, spices and much, much more. I know a lot of stores would charge the earth for local products but no, again affordable prices and friendly owners. This is one hidden treasure you shouldn't miss

A great little shop - well maybe not so little! It has lots of extra rooms apart from the 'front window' which are filled with all sorts of interesting and useful items, from cards to antiques to gardening supplies. They also sell newspapers and magazines and local honey and fruit and veg. The couple who own the shop are really nice, friendly and helpful - just what you need from a local shop, meaning that we are now regular customers,

My husband Nigel's favourite part of the store is of course their extensive range of bottled ales. He love's his Nelson's Bitter and local tipple Brancaster Best. This is a great find and just up the road from the Gin Trap Inn and ward's Nurseries so make a date to visit Ringstead village soon!

I cannot praise Cathy and Tim at Ringstead General Store highly enough. The shelves are stocked in the most brilliantly thought-out way and during this time, their calm reassuring manner has been just what is needed. Great produce, well-priced. A great range of organic products and a super beer and wine collection.

Always enjoy visiting this store not only for Forbidden Treasures (selection of Antiques and collectables as reasonable prices) but also the selection of beers, wines and other produce. You are always made to feel welcome when visiting and the two ladies were very pleasant. As someone else posted more than a village store and a hidden gem.

What an amazing place. A series of umpteen rooms going off one another. Great selection of groceries etc. Fresh croissants to order. It just goes on and on. Cards , hand knitted baby clothes, garden equipment, bird feed etc. Second hand jewellery. It's never ending. You would not believe it just from the outside! Well worth a visit.

The most amazingly well-stocked store in a small rural village 5 minutes from the coast.
There is almost nothing you can't buy there, including over 70 different types of real ale.
But just for a bonus there is a remarkable treasure trove of antiquities, old books and souvenirs down in the cellar..
Well worth a visit, even if you have just been to tesco.

This is more than just a Village Store. The building is a bit of a labyrinth stuffed full with a wide range of produce and items. A mixture somewhere between Delicatessen, Off Licence and Curiosity Shop.

The best independent village shop in the country selling every thing from butter to beer, cabbages to cards, apples to antiques and pretty well every thing in between, apart from being run by the most fantastic couple!
