I bought a number of bags of ballast, cement and engineering bricks for a garden upgrade and the prices are reasonable, and they always have plenty of stock. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

Ample parking space with dedicated parking space for disabled drivers/passengers plenty of room between the aisles which are well laid out, but some items may need assistance if you have a wheelchair to reach off the shelfs. staff are helpful and friendly to get items that are out of reach or explain what items are needed for the job you are doing. the store is on two levels

Special mention to Jack as he helped me massively with choosing the right material for my new flooring. Managers- he definitely deserves a Christmas bonus 🙌🏼

1* for the quality of Wickes shower, it didn't even last 6 months, 5* for the customer service. Had help from Richard who firstly got me the spare part, and then Vicky who helped fit it there and then. They both deserve a bonus :)

Recently had a complete new bathroom installed by Wickes in Huntingdon. The look is exactly how I wanted it and the fitters even went the extra mile to ensure that the shower tray could be as low as possible. They did a fantastic job and all in 5 days. It was painless....no stress whatsoever. Sam Saunders was in charge of my project and he was very professional and helped me decide what could work and gave me no false promises or expectations. He was brilliant and so were the fitters. Thank you Wickes for making it all happen. Will definitely use again.....maybe my kitchen hopefully. If you want a new bathroom definitely go to Wickes. The quality is brilliant.

Update..from previous.
Prefer the new lay out, more room especially if you've trying to manoeuvre large items. Looks fresher and cleaner..

Always seem to leave with items i went in for and if I'm lucky few extra bits too...depends if I'm on my own or wife with me.
Love the little coffee/breakfast bar/trailer outside the front.. .

We had a bathroom ordered before lockdown. We work with the design consultant Sarah from Huntingdon. She was absolutely fantastic. She went through every detail and suggested the best products to fit the place. Naturally lockdown delayed the fitting but that was nothing to do with Wickes. When the fitters came Ian Nat and Mark the electrician couldn’t have been more professional. They have left us with a wonderful bathroom that will be great for years to come. There are a couple of little things they needed to do post fitting. However they were quick to come back and make good a couple of minor tweaks. Overall the quality of their workmanship and the quality of the products has been excellent. I would recommend going to wicks and saving yourself the bother of trying to find tradesmen to fit the products. It was a great start to finish job . Thank you so much.

I wandered lonely and distraught around all of the overly advertised “leading” kitchen manufacturers to find that none were able to provide the kitchen I wanted, but more than active when it came to high pressure salesmanship desperately trying to force me to buy what I didn’t want.

My last port of call before giving up on having a new kitchen was Wickes in Huntingdon. And it was there I met their Kitchen Designer, Sam Saunders. Within minutes of meeting it was reminiscent of Brian Epstein meeting the Beatles for the first time (more mature readers will understand this!).

Sam was not only interested in the design I wanted, and explained how various models could get close to it, but appreciating they were not acceptable set about working out how he could create the design from the Intelliga Esker Range. He cracked it quite quickly but said that it would mean some alterations to standard product, and he explained his ideas to me in detail. He had come up with the perfect solution. Just what I wanted!

Sam explained his confidence in one of his experienced fitters being able to undertake the task in hand. I could see the horror on his face when I explained that I would take on the work myself. BUT no high pressure, no sulks, he started to go into detail to explain what needed to be done and check that he was confident I could do the job. The kitchen was ordered, duly arrive spot on the due date and half an hour earlier than promised. An incredibly helpful delivery team to add icing to the cake.

During the build (and conversion work) I did hit one or two issues and even though the sale was done and dusted Sam did not hesitate to help me overcome these issues, at one point spending an hour of his time assembling, in store, a tricky drawer that had defeated me. What superb after sales service and support.

The result is the kitchen of my dreams. So why oh why did I not go to Wickes first and save myself from high pressure disinterested salesmen. I don’t know, but the moral of this experience is that if you want a great value for money new kitchen with no hassle, no high pressure, genuine friendly and helpful advice, followed up with great after sales service you should take the trouble to travel to the Huntingdon branch of Wickes and ask for Sam Saunders.

I ordered a large item for delivery and there was a bit of a mishap, but Mark the store manager rectified it as best as he could, and I was really impressed with his approach and attitude. Sometimes things go wrong and it's how you resolve them that really matters. Thank you Mark!

Always helpful, friendly and not just to trade but everyone wanting to DIY with support on how to and where to find things. They have been invaluable in our house move and I won't ever use another supplier of such goods.

No nonsense, builders merchants come diy store. You can get most things here, or in the attached Toolstation, all at a reasonable price. I just got 10 lights for the new man cave, for £12. I only needed 2, but it was cheaper to buy 10.
