Argos Solihull in Sainsbury's

I bought a mobile from Argos at the end of Feb 2024. It had an intermittent fault with call quality that I thought would be fixed by a software upgrade. It wasn't, so I got my carrier to check the line and for the phone manufacturer to give me any suggestions for fixing the problem. The line was fine and the manufacturer's "fixes" didn't work. I decided to go to my local Argos store, in July, to see how they could remedy it. I spoke to Karen who understood the problem and suggested that I brought the phone into the shop with all accessories and delivery note. I also spoke to Hassan who made some sensible suggestions as to what I could try to get it working. I took the phone in and Karen checked if the phone was repairable. It wasn't. She offered me an exchange or refund.
I've bought many items from Argos over the years but have never returned anything. I'd expected some difficulty because it was 5 months since I'd originally bought the phone. Karen made the process easy and treated me kindly and professionally. I'm very grateful and remain a happy Argos customer.

Great friendly service. Purchased something over the phone but wanted to add on all of the extra insurance type things and they provided all the information clearly and friendly. Was never left alone whilst they found how to sort my query. Brilliant service !

Very helpful & still served me even though it was after 4pm Sunday, it is now within Sainsbury's, I forgot & went to old store site before I asked someone, parking close by is a problem if you want to just pop in & collect.

Quick service

Had ordered online to collect in store. Ordered 2 tvs at black Friday prices. Went to collect and only one was showing. Due to the fact the store has zero phone signal I couldn't access my online account to prove otherwise. I had to leave store to get the info and then return to prove I'd paid for 2. They said it only states one and I need to speak to customer services which I can't do in store as no signal. After waiting for over 15 minutes on the phone in the car park to be told only one had been ordered and its a 'ghost order' that should be refunded. Even though the manager informed me there were actually 2 tvs in store . I had to go back in store and buy another and the price had increased since to £40 more. Thankfully the manager Callum was very helpful. He honoured the price I had purchased it at originally.. I would only have given 1 star if it hadn't been for the way the manager handled it

Convenient when doing my weekly shop. Didn't have an item in stock I wanted but offered to have it delivered for free. Got it the same day.

Although comparatively small compared to the original stand alone Argos stores, there are touch screen stands which allow you to check stock levels, and service was rapid.

Again I find the staff friendly and helpful. They haven't always got what I want, but it doesn't stop me returning.
