Me and my mum came here for a fitting and we couldn’t have had a better experience, Mike is so knowledgeable and helped us find the shoes which fit us the best. Very thorough and professional as well as friendly and funny. Would recommend 100%. Thank you Mike

First booked visit at Run Forest Run. Absaloutly fantastic experience, not only was i provided with a person centred approach, I was thoroughly assessed and fitted with running shoes that felt like heaven on my feet. The pain I'd been recently experiencing evaporated and replaced with instant relief. Alongside this, I was also provided with invaluable knowledge about pace, cadence and managing the dreaded hill runs!
I would highly recommend anyone starting their running journey attend Run Forest Run to check your wearing the correct footwear before starting. Prevention is better than the cure!!.
I will be visiting again once my Cloud Eclipses reach 500k. ☺

It's a long time since I felt the need for new runners. My experience here was superb. The chap fitting me was careful, he knew my exact issues just by asking the right questions, listening to my stories of woe, watching me run a few strides etc. Quickly recognised that one foot was worse than the other. Provided me with a couple of great options.... and they WERE great. No one tried to flog me anything. They even matched the shoes to the terrain I would be running in the locality. When you feel confident in this level of service it's easy to part with your ££.

Mike came highly recommended so with my half marathon coming up I made an appointment and saw him today. He was absolutely brilliant and really helped me better understand the impact of running with the wrong shoes and helped to explain some of my current niggles. The personal service he provided was invaluable, he listened to what I needed, what I was doing, where I run and checked how I ran on the ground and also on the running machine. I was able to literally test different types of trainers to find the best ones for me.. and all for free and the trainers a very reasonable price, in fact cheaper than other online stores (I checked). I can’t thank Mike enough, I will definitely be coming back for my next pair and highly recommending. A huge thank you.

4th fitting and yet again left with the most comfortable shoes ever (and I say that every time). Mike takes the time to give you the best.

mike is an absolute legend, after dislocating my knee and trying to get back into running with no luck i started researching shoes, there was so many on the market i was very overwhelmed: so i came to mike- he did a 90 minute consultation with me and went above and beyond to find me a shoe that worked for me and my injury and it’s the best decision i made. If you are umming and arring whether to do this i would say go for it - it’s definitely worth it!

Amazing experience getting some proper running shoes fitted. I will definitely be returning to get my next pair from here. I not only got the perfect pair, but learnt a little bit about running to my specific goal. 11/10. **first ever half marathon after 3 months of running with a 128, not one bit of ache or rub on the foot, all down to the expert fit and sizing from Mike. Couldn’t recommend enough!!! And to top it off, great hospitality and service while he gets you the perfect pair 🏃‍♀

I went for a gait assessment and shoe fitting and I wish I had done it 20 years ago!! His knowledge, passion and ability to get you in the best possible shoes to allow you to get the most out of your running and avoid injury is unbelievable. Whether you’re training for long distance, hyrox, couch to 5k; whatever it is I would do this first! Best time and money you will ever spend. There’s no point putting work into the engine if you don’t have the right wheels.

Had the best experience this morning at a place in Matlock, Derbyshire. Run Forest Run is fantastic for anyone getting started with and/or serious about running.

Had an appointment booked and Jess was so wonderful and welcoming when I arrived. Mike was able to explain all the different types of shoes along with what seemed like secrets to the universe.. So much info!

I got to try on different trainers and run on the treadmill in them. Mike was so knowledgeable and knew instantly what was right and wrong for my feet and running style.

I would definitely go back in the future... And I'll definitely stand out in my new go faster shoes. See you when I'm ready for that marathon 😂

Excellent shop and the owner is very knowledgeable and funny! Would certainly recommend for anyone who wants advice on running or running gear. Really helped me with advice on running gels and nutrition for marathon running.

Customer service at this shop is 100% outstanding. After my appointment I walk out very happy with all the information and the shoes I have. I had a small issue with the trainer after. the owner was amazing at dealing with it and all sorted within 5mins.
I really recommend the shop for any running needs.

Made an appointment today to get some new trail runners and some road runners, as like myself, my current ones were old and tired. Mike was absolutely brilliant in explaining everything about the mechanics of running and how the right shoes would possibly get rid of the laundry list of ailments that usually affect me. His advice was invaluable and I have come away with two pairs of trainers that are both far more comfortable and far faster than the two previous pairs, which is a sure win on both counts. He also makes a great cup of coffee, so all-in, I can't recommend him and this shop enough. I'll definitely shop here from now on. I also picked up this lovely hat.

I went in needing some trail shoes and he fitted me in then and there with his busy schedule and found me the perfect fit first try! Highly recommend!

Mike knows his stuff. On a personal level he’s really engaging and easy to talk to but also very professional and incredibly informative. After looking at my biomechanics and trying on numerous styles of shoe he matched me up with the Hoka Mach 5s. Since his recommendation I’ve set both my 5k & 10k PB. Had a great experience here today getting fitted for my running shoes. Having been a bit smug and injury free, I came a cropper once I started upping the miles, marathon training. So off I went to the expert. Mike was very informative and pretty much picked the right shoes on the second pair, which I kept going back to. I won't be choosing any more of my own shoes in the future! Jess made a great coffee, and Vinny the Vizla is my new bestie. I'm looking forward to cranking out the miles minus a niggly knee. If you are serious about running this is the place to go. 🏃‍♀

As I arrived I was greeted by Mike, and treated to a nice cup of tea.

The shoe fitting started by having a chat with Mike about my wants and needs, any past or ongoing injuries, and figuring out which type of shoe would suit me best.

After that had been discussed, Mike measured my feet and I tried on the trainers that he suggested. For each pair, I ran on the treadmill, as well as on the shop floor, so I could get a feel for the comfort of the shoe, and Mike could get a better understanding of how they affect my running.

Once we narrowed it down to the final 2 pairs, it was hard to pick between them as they were both very comfortable for me. Mike suggested I test both pairs again before we decided which one suited my running best.

Mike's service and expertise is by far the highest level I've seen in any industry, I felt comfortable the whole time and Mike had the answer to any question I threw at him. I can't thank him enough for helping me find the perfect pair of shoes. I'll definitely be returning.
