Outstanding Service from Nice People
I have been paddling for 7 years and Canoe and Kayak Store is my local paddlesports shop. Throughout this time, their service has been second to none - from boats, kit, outfitting, advice, cups of tea, practical help and going above and beyond - Richard, Nigel and the gang have been an integral part of my paddling journey. They really know their stuff and frequently go out of their way to help out. I thoroughly recommend them - and expect a cup of tea next time I'm in ;-)

Have used the Canoe and Kayak store a few times now and they have always been brilliant. On the last occasion Rosie was very helpful in getting me some new gear for a trip to France. They were able to get various options in (when they didn't have them in already) which gave me the chance to choose what best suited me. Will always go back here as kit needs replacing/updating - brilliant :)

After trying for 18 months to get a 260cm paddle for my wide fishing kayak, these guys immediately came to the rescue. They added my choice of paddle to their Bending Branches order, and it arrived within about 5 weeks. Every other kayak store tried to tell me 230cm is maximum, and that my current 220 is perfectly adequate. Even when I bought my kayak 8 years ago, a kayak store in manchester convinced me a 220 was the correct size.

Excellent shop. Good stock. Honest knowledge. Great service. I buy here for personal kit and for work equipment. They keep stock up to date on the website so worth checking before visiting. Friendly staff who would prefer to be out paddling which is a great sign! All equipment sold here is worth having in my experience. Thanks and keep up the good work.

Products came next day even though I didn’t pay for express. Called to ask about availability and the person who picked up was very polite and gave me an answer quickly. Unfortunately, I didn’t get their name otherwise I would leave them a good word.

Only two things I would nit pick on was that the products didn’t come in the plastic bag that all new products come in, maybe because they were picked off the shelf, and if you try calling the phone won’t go through until around 15-20mins after they open. But this is clutching at straws to try and find something wrong. Overall fantastic service and will definitely keep this store in mind if I need anything else in the future.

I found this store because we were about to order life jackets from a large online retailer, but I wasn't happy with the apparent quality (this is not a category where you want cheap knock-offs), so I was searching for alternatives. They offered what looked like much better options for only slightly more money. I was VERY pleased with the life jackets when they arrived -- excellent value; well-made and well-fitting (and I'm nearly impossible to fit). As an unexpected bonus, the free shipping was so fast that we were able to get an extra sunny Saturday out on the water. I look forward to visiting the shop in person later this year and exploring what other well-chosen lines they carry.

I recently purchased a peak wrap PFD which was dispatched immediately and delivered on time. The price was the lowest I could find in the UK and certainly one of the few places to have them in stock. I've just ordered some pogies and again they're the best price I could find. The great thing is that if the website says it's in stock it is. Great shop and one that we'll be coming to for our gear in future.

Great value for money! As a beginner I found the information on the website very helpful. I bought some wetsuit boots and neoprene leggings, I'm so happy with the quality. I was kept in touch with the delivery schedule so no worries about that either. Good job Canoe and Kayak Store!

Returned back to store since August, this time for warmer clothing. Libby was on hand today giving sound advice, which I was grateful for. Plenty of choice in the store and price ranges

Ordered a Palm Life Jacket from them, they don't sell them here in the States. Bought it online Monday, it arrived Friday morning to my surprise. I thought it may take weeks with international shipping, but it only took 4 days and the price for shipping was not crazy expensive. Very pleased! Love the Nevis!
