Incredible amount of good quality stock, very helpful and friendly staff but don't expect to come out with only the things you wanted, your bound to see things you like and things you didn't even know you needed.
I got a big box of doughnuts for 50p, had to share them with my dog 😊

I went to the cafe. It was well organised for Covid. They do the August Eat Out to Help Out. I got the all day brunch for next to nothing. In truth it was way more than I could eat.

WOW! Just done the two day package and it was fantastic. We were pleasantly greeted and kitted out with buoyancy aids, paddles a dry barrel (which was big enough for every thing you take)and a spacious canoe. Having been given a very well informed briefing of what to do and expect we were loaded onto a mini bus and taken to the start of our very enjoyable two day adventure. Even if you've never canoed before this is well do-able and it's all of exciting, relaxing, fun, a nature trip, you'll see heron's,egrets, ducks (various sorts) swans, geese, kingfishers everywhere and lots lots more. I need to add we had to catch buses at the end of day one one and they found out what bus we needed, times and where to catch it. All in all this is a fantastic two days, which can be broken into half day or 1 day trips. Go on, do it!

This store is really big, I think our local store could fit in here twice over. Well stocked, clean and great selection of tunes to sing along to while shopping (much to the annoyance of my good lady).

There is a wide variety ... clothing, flowers, household goods, seasonal goods as well as groceries, bakery, deli, fresh fish, meat, and an improved selection of " free from". As with every supermarket I've ever used there are things occasionally out of stock and sometimes the aisles are clogged with trolleys, but in the main both the range of goods and prices are reasonable. There is a cafe and toilets. Plenty of parking ( 2+1\2 hours free) but, in summer particularly, it can be hard to find space as people use the car park when going into the town. On the downside, it can often be hard to find staff if you need help with something… as is true with many places these days.

Afternoon Tea - Ross-on-Wye store

I can't praise this enough. I ordered 2 x Afternoon Teas for 2 online for collection on Monday 28th March. I actually made an error and ordered 2 platters as I had overlooked the fact that each platter was for 2 people. So we had them over two days!

Some days before the order was due to be collected a lovely lady from the store called me to ensure I hadn't made an error and actually wanted to collect them on Sunday 27th, Mother's Day. I said Monday was correct and she said she was just making sure so that I wasn't disappointed.

I had booked a collection slot of between 3 and 4 pm but realised that I was going to be a little late arriving. I called back on mobile number the lady used before and it rang out. Before I could look for the general customer service number she rang me back. I explained my delay and hoped I could still collect and she said as long as the cafe was still open I could collect later. When I arrived they had them ready and a very friendly lady handed them over.

The platter itself was nicely presented and was all you would expect for afternoon tea. The picture shows mini pork pies which were not there but this did not detract from this delicious meal! I would definitely order this again.

Yum, yum!

Called in to the cafe for a coffee today whilst waiting for my car to be ready at a local dealership. Coffee, sandwich and cake deal was good! A nice place to stop while I waited. Staff were friendly and helpful.

This is the first time I've visited the Ross store as I usually travel in to Gloucester and shop there. The visit was every bit as good as I hoped it would be and the fresh F&V section had a great selection as did the range of fish and shellfish on offer.
The restaurant offers an excellent menu and made for a really nice way to round things off. Strongly recommended when choosing where to food shop.

Morrisons is a supermarket which sells many things. Vegetables. Fish. Cheese. Cheese also. What is this? Cheese. Ham. Bread. Milk. Frozen peas. Many many things. Am I at 200 characters yet? You go round with a trolley or a basket if you are in a hurry and you take things to to check outs to pay. In that respect it's like every other supermarket in the country. In every other respect it's also like every other supermarket in the country. Oh, it has a petrol station which is one of the cheapest in the area.

I visited the cafe @ Ross on Wye yesterday. The food was exceptional. Ok it was chips, double cheeseburger and coleslaw but I can honestly say I have had a lot worse from Miller and Carter. Everything was cooked well and there was a great sized portion. The staff were very helpful and polite. The cafe was well run and it was a great experience that I will be repeating again for sure. Thankyou.
